Five year old John vanishes, his mother is beside herself, Wexford and Burden are on the case, Reg is convinced it's linked to a year old case, where a little boy was taken.
I saw this quite a few years back, and it stayed with me, it's still a very grim tale, it always is when kids are involved, but there is something nasty about the plot here.
It's very good, what makes this one a bit different, is that Reg and Mike seem to be fairly distant from one another, both haunted by their respective pasts, for Mike, it's the anniversary of his wife's death, and for The it's the memory of the missing girl.
