Review of Safe

Safe (2018)
8/10
Not amazing but nevertheless a good one

I was skeptical about starting this show as the rating was not on the high scale. But I did nevertheless start and I would still recommend others to watch it, despite the negative user reviews.

So the show has both positive and negative aspects. There are some plot holes, such as why Michael C. Hall decided to look for his daughter himself. Logically it should be done by the police force, which brings me into another plot hole where the police force is nothing but plain stupid. It is either that, or it is just terrible acting by the female lead. The motive also seemed a bit weak but that is just my subjective opinion.

When it comes to acting, Michael C Hall did a superb job as expected. He faked a british accent I believe, which probably can be noticed at times. I was pleasantly surprised to see practically no change whatsoever in his physical appearance from his Dexter days. Pretty much everyone from the cast did a good job. However I have severe issues with Amanda Abbington's acting. I have no clue why she kept biting her lips throughout the show (probably trying to look cute or lustful but whatever the reason she looked revolting). She should really sit down, watch the show and contemplate on what a terrible acting job she did.

It is not as good as "How to get away with Murder" for example, but still worth watching.
