D'Inked is a fascinating documentary. I've seen plenty of Tattoo shows such as 'Tattoo Nightmares', 'Inkmaster', 'Bondi Ink', 'Tattoos After Dark' and so on. But none of them take a look into getting tattoo's removed. I knew getting them removed was much harder than getting them in the first place, but I didn't realise the ordeal it really is - particularly for large tattoos. This doco did a great job of showing this journey of tattoo removal, but also looked into how tattoo culture has grown over the years. It's by no means an 'anit-tattoo' film, but rather it celebrates the artform. What it does do though, is provide a warning to be careful about what ink you get done. After watching this, going through tattoo removal is not something anyone would want to do!!
