HAUNTED FOREST is yet another in a long line of low key Filipino ghost stories. Like others I've seen, this suffers from having a real lack of supernatural content, with only one or two scenes where there are actually ghosts present on screen. The rest is a dull family drama with too many romantic interludes and comedy scenes and not enough atmosphere or horror building. A handsome protagonist heads off to the titular locale, which is inhabited by an ugly ghost, but all he finds is boredom and cliche.
