Nikki Santoro is Chief Operating Officer for IMDb, the world’s most popular and authoritative source for information on movies, TV shows and celebrities. Hundreds of millions of customers all over the world rely on IMDb to discover and decide what to watch, advance their professional entertainment careers through IMDbPro, and grow their businesses using IMDb data and trending insights.
As Chief Operating Officer, Nikki is responsible for leading the ongoing strategic development and innovation for all product, technology, user-experience, content, and advertising/sponsorship teams, with full P&L responsibility for all IMDb businesses including IMDb and IMDbPro.
Prior to becoming Chief Operating Officer, Nikki was Head of IMDb Consumer, where she led her teams in the creation of engaging what-to-watch features designed to help entertainment fans of all ages spend less time searching and more time watching. She also managed IMDb’s advertising business, which offers a variety of highly immersive ways for brands to connect with consumers.
Throughout her career, Nikki has managed cross-functional teams in the development of innovative digital products and user experiences. Before joining IMDb in 2016, Nikki held leadership positions at some of the biggest names in technology, including Amazon, The Weather Channel, and Microsoft. An experienced innovator and entrepreneur, Nikki has also helmed two successful tech startups, selling one to a cloud-based conferencing company in 2008. She earned an MBA from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School, as well as a master’s degree in instructional systems design and a bachelor’s degree in psychology, both from Florida State University.
