Donald Trump’s Border Wall Inspires Travel-Comedy Series Being Developed By Felipe Esparza & Sonar Entertainment
Donald Trump’s border wall is the inspiration for a new unscripted travel-comedy series in development by Sonar Entertainment and comedian and actor Felipe Esparza (Last Comic Standing).

The project is one of the first from Sonar’s Factual side, headed by former Tricon exec Andrea Gorfolova, who came over to Sonar following the company’s acquisition of Tricon Films & Television last year.

As part of the potential series description, Esparza asks, “What’s 2000 miles long, costs over $25 billion to build, and is filled with narcos, deadly terrain, and jokes – lots and lots of jokes?” For Esparza, that’s The Wall, the front line that defines the highly charged debate over the border separating the U.S. and Mexico.

In the multi-part project, Esparza and his band of fellow comics take an up close and personal look at the U.S.-Mexico border, bringing unconventional riffs

‘Making It’ Review: Amy Poehler and Nick Offerman Bring the Power of Positivity to Reality-Competition TV

‘Making It’ Review: Amy Poehler and Nick Offerman Bring the Power of Positivity to Reality-Competition TV
The pitch for “Making It,” NBC’s new foray into reality-competition shows, is pretty simple: Take the structure and — more importantly — the tone of “The Great British Baking Show,” but instead of baking, the challenges all center around craft projects. In the series, former “Parks and Recreation” co-stars Amy Poehler and Nick Offerman guide eight professional crafters through challenges blending paper, fabric, wood, and tons of other unconventional ingredients to create wonderful and unexpected things.

Set in a picturesque wooded glen referred to as “the farm”, the eight crafters represent a variety of disciplines and backgrounds, with their unique styles showcased by the variety of concepts they’re asked to create. In the episodes screened for review, the projects made include quilts, childrens’ play forts, Halloween costumes, and lawn furniture, and the level of skill presented is really impressive (at least to a layperson).

It’s also refreshingly positive. As

On Second Thought… Reconsidering the ‘Friday the 13th’ Remake

After decades of being in near-continual production, bouncing back and forth between box office smash successes and low-budget flops, following transfers of ownership, appearing in everything from movies to comic books and TV series, having been ended and restarted multiple times and, finally, co-starring in a horror crossover unheard of since the demise of the original Universal Monsters, perhaps it was inevitable for the Friday the 13th series to get rebooted. Having been literally to Hell and back (to say nothing of outer space), there just wasn’t much new ground left for Jason Vorhees to cover. Handing the production off

Riverdale Cast Promises a 'Clash of the Hot Daddies' in Season 3 — Watch
If Archie Andrews does end up behind bars in Riverdale‘s third season — which is entirely possible, given this show’s history of false convictions — he probably shouldn’t expect any conjugal visits from Veronica.

How do we know this? For starters, Mark Consuelos believes that Hiram, the puppet master behind Archie’s arrest, would “put a stop” to his daughter visiting her jailbird beau. And even if she chooses to defy him yet again, Luke Perry — a surprising font of legal knowledge — insists that you have to be married in order to arrange conjugal visits.

All of this was
