Amazon Launching ‘The Expanse’ Seasons 1-3 Worldwide Ahead of Season 4 Premiere
Amazon has acquired worldwide subscription-streaming rights to the first three seasons of “The Expanse,” the space thriller that originally aired on Syfy, leading up to Prime Video’s debut of season 4 later in 2019.

Seasons 1-2 of “The Expanse” are currently available in the U.S. on Prime Video. All three seasons, comprising 36 episodes in all, will become available on the service in over 200 countries and territories starting Feb. 8.

Michael Strahan, Endemol Shine North America to Develop U.S. Version of ‘Money Drop’

Endemol Shine North America is teaming up with Michael Strahan’s Smac Entertainment to develop a U.S. version of the game show “The Money Drop.”

Originally launched in 2010 as “The Million Pound Drop Live” by Endemol UK’s Remarkable Television for Channel 4, the format has now been produced locally by Endemol Shine Group in 54 global territories, including Germany, Brazil, France and Australia. The series has aired as a daily show in France, Uruguay and in Central and Eastern Europe and multiple versions have aired weekly in Asia and Germany.

BBC Buys Australian Psychological Thriller Series ‘Safe Harbour’

The BBC has bolstered its international drama lineup, acquiring Australian limited series “Safe Harbour,” and inking deals for new seasons of shows from Canada, France, and Iceland. The shows will all run on the U.K. pubcaster’s BBC Four channel.

Safe Harbour” is a psychological thriller that played on pubcaster Sbs in Australia. It follows a group of six friends on a yacht trip from Brisbane to Indonesia. When they come to the aid of a group of asylum seekers it leads to a series of events that change all of their lives.

The Conners' Sara Gilbert Talks Finale's 'Surprise' Guest and Cliffhanger Ending, Offers Season 2 Update

The Conners wraps its inaugural 11-episode season tonight (8/7c, ABC) with a fair amount of wind in its sails. Despite its controversy-plagued birth, the Roseanne spinoff has been a ratings winner (it’s the network’s No. 2 show behind only Grey’s Anatomy), making a second season more a question of when than if.

For her part Sara Gilbert, who in addition to starring as Darlene serves as an exec producer on the offshoot, tells TVLine that she remains “hopeful that there will be a Season 2” particularly since the episode ends “with a bit of a cliffhanger.”

Ratings: Celeb Big Brother Trails Agt and Bachelor; Passage Slips in Week 2

Season 2 of CBS’ Big Brother: Celebrity Edition opened with 5.4 million total viewers and a 1.4 demo rating, down sharply from its Season 1 premiere (7.3 mil/1.8 on a Wednesday), but on par with that cycle’s first Monday airing (5.2 mil/1.3).

Leading out of that, Magnum P.I. (5.3 mil/0.7) suffered serious whiplash, going from the Sunday special’s series highs to match and hit series lows. Bull (6.7 mil/0.8) however ticked up in the demo.

NBC | Agt: Champions (9.7 mil/1.6; read recap) dipped a tenth but tied The Bachelor for the nightly demo win. Manifest (5.4 mil/1.0) ticked up from last week’s demo low.
