‘Childrens Hospital’ Team Reunites at Netflix for Comedy Series ‘Medical Police’
The team behind the Adult Swim series “Childrens Hospital” has come back together at Netflix.

The streamer has ordered 10 thirty-minute episodes of a new scripted series called “Medical Police,” which is written and executive produced by Rob Corddry, Krister Johnson, Jonathan Stern, David Wain. In addition to his onscreen role, Corddry created “Childrens Hospital,” with Stern and Wain co-developing it for television with him. Johnson was a writer and co-executive producer on the series.

"Luke Cage" Alum Mike Colter Joins CBS Drama Pilot "Evil"

Mike Colter has been cast in a lead role in the CBS drama pilot “Evil” from Robert and Michelle King, Variety has learned.

Colter will play David DaCosta, a Catholic priest in training, tasked by the Church to assess unexplained phenomena to see if there is a supernatural or scientific explanation.

He joins previously announced cast member Katja Herbers.

Colter most recently starred in the Marvel-Netflix series “Luke Cage” as the titular hero. That show–along with all of the other Marvel shows on Netflix–was recently cancelled. His role in “Evil” reunites Colter with the Kings, with

"Man in the High Castle" to End After Season 4

Amazon’s alternate-history drama “Man in the High Castle” will end after its upcoming fourth season.

The final season was confirmed in an teaser, which you can watch above. It will stream this fall on Amazon Prime.

The series, based on Philip K. Dick’s book of the same, depicts a world where the Allied Powers lost World War II and Nazi Germany was able to spread its influence across the globe. In the series, the United States has been dissolved and split between German and Japanese control, with those two countries essentially taking the place of the Us and Soviet Union during the decades-long Cold War.

Aaron Sorkin Says He Has ‘No Plans’ to Revive
ACN is not coming back on the air, according to Aaron Sorkin.

The creator of HBO’s cable news drama “The Newsroom” said on Monday night that he has “no plans” to revive the series, a week after one of the show’s cast members, Olivia Munn, said she’s had conversations about bringing the series back. But Sorkin seemingly canceled those rumors on Monday’s “Late Late Show.”

“I wish the show was on the air now. I’d love to be writing it now. But there are other things coming up. I have no plans to return to any of that,” Sorkin told host James Corden.

Last week, Munn spoke with Entertainment Tonight about the possibility of a “Newsroom” revival.

“Tom Sadoski and myself, we’ve actually been having conversations with Sorkin about that,” she told Et.

As the Chicago police investigation into what really happened to Jussie Smollett in the alleged assault last month intensifies its focus on the Empire actor, the Fox drama is cutting the performer out of the action.

Deadline has confirmed with well placed sources that Smollett’s scenes in episodes of the Lee Daniels and Danny Strong co-created series are being slashed for production on Empire this week.

While the show is back at work today in the Windy City after the long weekend, Smollett will be a rare presence on the set of the Taraji P. Henson and Terrence Howard led show.

The actor has also had an absent presence in Chicago PD request for another interview with him. As Smollett himself has become the subject of deeper inquiry into the supposed assault that occurred in the early hours of January 29, detectives want to know more about the actor’s

"Arrested Development" Season 5’s Second Half Gets Premiere Date at Netflix

Well, we just blue ourselves ’cause Netflix has finally set the premiere date for the backhalf of Season 5 of “Arrested Development.”

The Bluth family will return to the streaming service with the final eight episodes of the Mitch Hurwitz-created comedy’s fifth season on March 15, TheWrap has learned.

That’s quite a while after the first part of Season 5 debuted last May — but not nearly as long as fans waited between Seasons 4 and 5 and doesn’t come close to touching the amount of time fans twiddled their thumbs before for the show was revived with a fourth season on Netflix after ending its three-season run on Fox.

Entertainment Weekly first reported the news.

‘Friends From College’ Canceled on Netflix After Two Seasons
Netflix has canceled “Friends From College” after two seasons. Co-creator Nicholas Stoller broke the news to fans Monday night on Twitter.

“Friends from College will not be returning for a third season,” Stoller said. “Thanks to everyone who watched it. Happy Presidents’ Day!”

‘Stan & Ollie’ Producer to Make TV Series About Joan and Jackie Collins
The colorful lives of movie star Joan Collins and her bestselling novelist sister, Jackie, will be dramatized in a TV series. Sony-backed Fable Pictures, the British film and TV producer behind “Stan & Ollie,” will make the series, having secured the TV rights to the Collinses’ story.

The series, which has the working title “Joan & Jackie,” will trace the sisters’ journeys from postwar London to Hollywood stardom as Alexis Carrington in “Dynasty” and literary fame as the author of “Valley of the Dolls,” respectively. No broadcaster or platform is officially attached yet, but Sony Pictures Television will take the six-part show out internationally.

“I am delighted that such a prestigious team wants to tell our story, and I know my sister Jackie would be as excited as I am to be involved,” Joan Collins said.

In a shock to no one, the 2019 Super Bowl handily defeated all of its broadcast competition in the Live+7 numbers for the week of Jan. 28.

Live sports typically receive virtually no lift in delayed viewing, and Super Bowl Liii was no exception. The game did, however, rise from a 31.1 rating in adults 18-49 to a 31.2 and 98.8 million viewers compared to the 98.5 million who watched it live.

Elsewhere on broadcast, “The Big Bang Theory,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” and “Young Sheldon” were the top three scripted shows of the week in adults 18-49.
