"Castle Rock" Season 2 to Pay Homage to ‘Misery’ with Lizzy Caplan as Annie Wilkes

Season 1 of Hulu's Castle Rock was a treasure trove of homages, Easter eggs, and story crossovers for fans of horror icon Stephen King. Season 2 looks to continue that trend by taking on Misery, King's 1987 psychological horror novel that centered on nurse Annie Wilkes and her deadly obsession with romance novelist, Paul Sheldon. Kathy Bates earned an Oscar for her performance as Wilkes in Rob Reiner's 1990 feature adaptation of the story, but now Emmy-nominee Lizzy Caplan gets a shot at the role. Legacies Recap: Landon's Dark History Is Even Muddier Than We Imagined

Before Thursday’s Legacies, I would have argued that Hope had the franchise’s most twisted family history, but the more we learn about Landon’s lineage, the more the Mikaelsons start to look like the Bradys.

As revealed by Agent Clark this week, Landon’s father was once a golem known as the “Eater of the Dark.” He was created 1,000 years ago by the “unholy alliance” of a witch, a vampire and a werewolf in order to combat their shared enemy: a dragon. Unfortunately, Papa Landon proved too effective, consuming every monster he could find. He also attempted to create offspring of his own,

Drag Race Recap: Which Orange Queen Lacked a Certain Appeal?
Fresh off last week’s embarrassing six-way lip sync battle, the ladies of RuPaul’s Drag Race decided on Thursday that they were really going to start trying from now on. No more tucking around!

Unfortunately, not everyone was able to keep that promise, as seen in this week’s disastrous mini challenge Why You Maddow Tho? The assignment was simple: dress up like MSNBC anchor Rachel Maddow (cheap jacket and all!) and read a series of breaking news reports from a teleprompter. Yet “simple” proved too much for some queens, like poor Silky Nutmeg Ganache, who struggled with the

What Jared Padelecki Thinks the Ending of Supernatural Will Look Like

As they say, all good things in life eventually come to an end. The same is true of television shows. They have a great run, some for decades, but the end will come one day. Fans of Supernatural must feel a bit of a disconnect knowing that the show must eventually come to a conclusion. Like a good book, you don’t necessarily want it to end, but you certainly would like to know what happens when the final chapter is written. That is part of the fun. What does an ending to Supernatural look like. Of course, we have no

Grey’s Anatomy’s Teddy thought that she wouldn’t be experiencing firsts with her and Owen’s daughter until after she was born. Conan O’Brien’s Full Archive Is Coming to the Team Coco Website, Starting With the Remotes

To the delight of Conan O’Brien fans, it was announced last year by Team Coco that every clip from “Late Night With Conan O’Brien” would soon be available in one place online. With the original launch date of January behind us, the new plan has emerged: Clips will be uploaded in phases to the Team Coco website, the first of which, “Conan 25: The Remotes,” is coming next Monday, March 25. More than 350 offsite segments will be included.

Here’s how the painstaking process works: “First, we take this shitty tape my brother Neil recorded off his TV and convert it to DVD. Then the DVD is converted to a 3D IMAX film, which we then screen for a hip-hop dance squad who transform it into a bomb-ass routine” explains O’Brien in a new video as visual aides accompany this elaborate transformation. “An artist then watches the dance

With More Black Stars on TV Than Ever, Where Do Bet, Own, and Other Black Networks Fit In?

African Americans love TV. According to Nielsen, it’s a demographic that watches 37 percent more television than any other. And the TV industry has taken note: Of the nearly 500 scripted series across broadcast, cable, and streaming, at least 60 are headlined by black actors. However, most of them don’t appear on Bet, Own: The Oprah Winfrey Network, Bounce TV, or TV One: 70 percent of the black-headlined shows run on other networks and streamers. All of which begs the question: As networks with significantly deeper pockets aggressively pursue the African-American audience, do black TV networks risk losing relevance?

Bet head of programming Connie Orlando isn’t concerned by the competition. “Across TV, Svod, and film, Hollywood is waking up to the excellence of black creators and the power of black audiences, something we have done for the past 40 years,” she said. “African Americans are not monolithic. There’s room for
