"Cosmos" Season 2 Premiere Officially Pushed By Fox Amid Neil deGrasse Tyson Investigation

  • Deadline
Fox has made it official — the second season of science docuseries Cosmos won’t premiere on March 3 as previously announced because of the ongoing investigation into sexual misconduct allegations against host Neil deGrasse Tyson.

The network just released listings for March 3-10. In them, Cosmos is replaced by Family Guy repeats in the Sunday 9:30 Pm slot on both March 3 and March 10.

As we reported last week, Fox and National Geographic were expected to postpone the Season 2 premiere, which had been set long before multiple new accusations against the famous astrophysicist/TV personality in late November prompted Fox, Nat Geo and the series producers to launch an investigation. The investigation is still ongoing, and the networks reportedly want it to be completed before making a decision.

“The credo at the heart of Cosmos is to follow the evidence wherever it leads,” the show’s producers said in a statement to Deadline in November.

"The Lord of the Rings" TV Series: Explore Amazon’s Map of Middle-earth Here

  • The Wrap
Amazon has released one map to rule them all.

The official Twitter account for Prime Video’s upcoming “The Lord of the Rings” TV series shared a link to a map of J.R.R. Tolkien’s fictional Middle-earth on Friday morning.

And seeing as this map appears to tease what the world in Amazon’s small-screen adaptation of the franchise looks like, it’s definitely giving “LOTR” fans enough material to obsess over all weekend long.

Details about Amazon’s “LOTR” series — which first announced in November 2017 and is being developed by “Star Trek 4” duo JD Payne and Patrick McKay — are still scarce. But we do know the show is set in Middle-earth and will explore stories that precede the events of Tolkein’s “The Fellowship of the Ring.”

“Where in the world is Carmen Sandiego season 2 you ask? Well, it’s officially returning! Keep those red fedoras warm and stay tuned for more details,” read a tweet posted by the verified Netflix Family Twitter account.

But we need to note here that while the series’ debuted with nine-episode Season 1 last month, Netflix initially gave a 20-episode order to the show, meaning not all of the episodes have aired yet.

Five Amazing Bank Robbery Scenes in Movies

Bank robberies in movies are incredibly detailed most times and tend to go off without much of a hitch, which seems like it might not be the way things really go in real life. Throughout history only a few bank robberies have ever gone off with this kind of success, but then again there are scenes in movies where the robbery goes off but the perpetrators are still caught in the end. The reasons are usually that they get overconfident, they get sloppy, and that they tend to draw too much attention to themselves. But even those that do get

Are Arrow Season 7’s Real Villains in The Present And Future?

Speculation is one of the best sources of entertainment when it comes to superhero media. As a result, it should come as no surprise to learn that interested individuals have come up with a theory that the current season of Arrow will feature the Ninth Circle as the main villains for both the present and the future storylines, which is based on some pretty solid reasoning. However, before laying out that reasoning, it is necessary to mention something about the source material. What Is the Ninth Circle? On the whole, the Ninth Circle is a relatively recent addition to the

This Is Us Ep: Miguel Isn't Getting His Backstory Episode, After All
Turns out, Miguel Rivas’ past is going to take a while longer to unfurl than previously thought.

This Is Us co-showrunner Isaac Aptaker tells TVLine that, rather than fitting Rebecca’s second husband’s past into a single, Jon Huertas-centric hour, “His is one that we’re going to spread [out]. It’s not going to be all condensed into one episode.”

At Comic-Con in July 2018, Huertas mentioned that his character would be the focus of an episode similar to the upcoming deep dive into Beth’s past. Instead, Aptaker says, “We’re peeling back the layers of Miguel and

‘Proven Innocent’ Review: Fox’s Legal Series Should Be Held in Contempt of Self-Respecting Courtroom Dramas

‘Proven Innocent’ Review: Fox’s Legal Series Should Be Held in Contempt of Self-Respecting Courtroom Dramas
“Proven Innocent” wants to help the hopeless but can’t save itself from its ill-equipped noble intentions. Created by David Elliott — known for testosterone-laden fare like “G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra” — Fox’s new legal drama plays like a dude-bro who has suddenly found wokeness, now that he’s become a father of daughters.

In the series, Rachelle Lefevre stars as Maddie Scott, an attorney whose clunkily monikered Injustice Defense Group exonerates the wrongly convicted. Maddie has a fire in her after she and her brother Levi (Riley Smith) were sent to prison as teenagers for a murder they didn’t commit. Not only will Maddie help others like herself, but she’s also determined to take down Gore Bellows (Kelsey Grammer), the prosecutor in the fateful trial against her years ago. He’s still at it, and the two butt heads as Maddie turns up evidence to undo

‘Into the Badlands’ Trailer: AMC Martial Arts Drama Finishes Off with a War

TV certainly doesn’t lack for shows about saving “the fate of humanity,” as one character explains in the latest trailer for the AMC series “Into the Badlands.” But then again, since its premiere in the fall of 2015, this TV martial arts epic has never been a show to do things like other series would. In grand AMC tradition, the show split up its final super-sized season into two halves, the latter premiering late next month. This farewell batch of eight episodes sees the culmination of a growing arc, featuring the power-hungry Pilgrim (Babou Ceesay) threatening to track drastic cosmic action that could spell doom for nearly every other character on the series. Sunny (Daniel Wu) is juggling an attempt to thwart Pilgrim’s plans with plenty of his own personal battles, including another threat in the form of a vengeance-hungry M.K. (Aramis Knight).

This Season 3 wrap-up will bring

The Five Best Michael Shannon Movies of His Career

Michael Shannon is a lot better of an actor than some people seem to give him credit for since in truth he’s played a lot of characters that might have been botched by others if they’d tried. He’s played some seriously despicable characters in his time but they’ve been done with such skill that you can’t help but hate the characters but be impressed by Shannon. He’s the kind of guy that looks so severe that being a hero or even a protagonist doesn’t seem like it will be in the cards all the time, but being the antagonist seems

Jussie Smollett Case: Chicago Police Arrest Two Suspects
Chicago police confirmed on Friday that they have arrested two suspects in the case of “Empire” actor Jussie Smollett.

The police did not state what charges the men are being held on. Local media have identified the men as two brothers from Nigeria, though law enforcement has not confirmed their identities.

Smollett’s representatives have declined to say whether he has identified the men as his attackers.

An attorney for the men, Gloria Schmidt, told CBS Chicago on Thursday that the men know Smollett from working on the Fox show. She denied that they had assaulted Smollett.

‘Cosmos’ Season 2 to Miss March Premiere Date as Neil deGrasse Tyson Investigation Continues
The second season of “Cosmos” will not air in March as planned.

Qatar’s beIN Rallies Support From U.S. Companies Against Pirate Broadcaster beoutQ

Qatari powerhouse beIN Media Group has rallied support from American sports and entertainment entities, including Discovery and Fox, behind its request that the U.S. government place Saudi Arabia on its watch list of top intellectual property offenders.

The Doha-based broadcaster, a state-owned spinoff of Al Jazeera news network, accuses the Saudi government of harboring pirate broadcaster beoutQ, which sprang up in 2017 shortly after Saudi Arabia banned beIN amid a bitter diplomatic standoff with Qatar.
