Hugh Grant To Star With Nicole Kidman In HBO Limited Series
Hugh Grant has been cast opposite Nicole Kidman in "The Undoing," HBO’s high-profile six-episode limited series, written by David E. Kelley and directed by Susanne Bier.

An adaptation of Jean Hanff Korelitz’s book You Should Have Known, "The Undoing" centers on Grace Sachs (Kidman), who is living the only life she ever wanted for herself. She’s a successful therapist, has a devoted husband (Grant) and young son who attends an elite private school in New York City. Overnight a chasm opens in her life: a violent death, a missing husband, and, in the place of a man Grace thought she knew, only a chain of terrible revelations. Left behind in the wake of a spreading and very public disaster, and horrified by the ways in which she has failed to heed her own advice, Grace must dismantle one life and create another for her child and herself.

"Veronica Mars": J.K. Simmons To Recur In Hulu Revival Limited Series

  • Deadline
Oscar winner J.K. Simmons has signed on for a recurring role in Hulu’s revival of "Veronica Mars," from original series creator Rob Thomas. The eight-episode limited series is scheduled to premiere in 2019.

The reboot returns star Kristen Bell, Enrico Colantoni and Jason Dohring to the series that ran for three seasons on Upn and the CW from 2004-2007. In the revival, spring breakers are getting murdered in Neptune, thereby decimating the seaside town’s lifeblood tourist industry. After Mars Investigations is hired by the parents of one of the victims to find their son’s killer, Veronica (Bell) is drawn into an epic mystery that pits the enclave’s wealthy elites, who would rather put an end to the month-long bacchanalia, against a working class that relies on the cash influx that comes with being the West Coast’s answer to Daytona Beach.

Simmons will play Clyde Prickett, an

‘Black Mirror: Nosedive’ is Now a Card Game and We All Live Inside a Nightmare
It’s hard to imagine anyone watching an episode of “Black Mirror” and thinking, “I would like to play a card game based on the dystopian aspects of modern society expressed in this chilling piece of entertainment!”

Yet, for those who saw the Season 3 installment “Nosedive” and thought that a system based on rating individuals and maintaining a perfect social score was a playful idea, a new card game is coming to retail outlets, just in time to permanently scar all the fans of deeply unsettling futurist sci-fi in your life.

For the low price of $19.99, you can own “Nosedive: A Social Game,” which draws from the plot of the Bryce Dallas Howard-led episode, set in a society where individuals are encouraged to rate each other on a five-star scale after interactions as wide-ranging as a transaction at a store or bumping into someone on the street.

There's a Jack Reacher TV Series in Development

There's a Jack Reacher TV Series in Development
It looks like Lee ChildJack Reacher book franchise in now being turned into a TV series. Tom Cruise played Jack Reacher in the two films produced by Paramount Pictures and while I thought he was great in the role and delivered two entertaining action-packed movies, we won’t be seeing anymore of them. The days of Cruise as Jack Reacher are over.

According to Childs, “We’re rebooting and starting over and we’re going to try and find the perfect guy.” For anyone familiar with the novels and the Jack Reacher character, then you know that Cruise didn’t fit the physicality for the role.

That doesn’t mean Childs didn’t like working with the actor, though. He told the BBC, “Cruise, for all his talent, didn’t have that physicality,” and then noted that actor’s smaller size threw off some of the core fans:

“I really enjoyed working with Cruise.

10 Things You Didn’t Know about Daniel Ings

Just from his career thus far it almost seems as though Daniel Ings is someone that really likes to prep himself for a role and for a run at a career-changing sequence of events. That assumption is made after looking at his career and how often it seems he’s lumped so many different projects into a single year, but it could be that he likes to get extremely busy so as to take advantage of the moment and then take a break when things are allowed to slow down. It’s hard to tell without talking to him directly, but appearances

Viacom Q4 Profit Falls On Cable Ad Revenue Shortfall

Viacom Inc. said net income in its fiscal fourth quarter fell as revenue slumped overseas and stayed flat with year-earlier results at its U.S. operations, even as the company showed improvement at its movie unit and notched gains in the money it gets from cable distributors.

The New York owner of MTV, Nickelodeon and the Paramount movie studio said profit in the period came to $386 million, or 96 cents a share, compared with $674 million, or $1.67 a share, in the year-earlier quarter. Excluding one-time items, Viacom said adjusted earnings came to $400 million, or 99 cents a share.

The results topped Wall Street expectations,

Worst. Wedding. Ever.

But in Thursday’s fall finale, the long-awaited “Coliver” wedding — sweet and romantic though it may have been — was ultimately eclipsed by a devastating death and a life-changing revelation. (As if

Legacies Recap: Along Came a Spider (Plus, Which Couple Finally Kissed?)

Legacies Recap: Along Came a Spider (Plus, Which Couple Finally Kissed?)
Legacies expanded its ever-growing bestiary on Thursday by pitting the students against an eight-legged bloodsucker. And Ghostface from the Scream movies. And… Gorilla Grodd from The Flash? (To be fair, those last two were merely special guests in Mg’s gloriously nerdy nightmares.)

The episode began with another dramatic school-wide briefing: “Not Now” Dana was reported missing, and since pretty much every bad thing that happens in town has some sort of supernatural connection, Alaric sent a group of his most prized students — aka every character with a first name, minus Josie and Rafael — to Mystic Falls High School on a recon mission.

10 Things You Didn’t Know about Thad Luckinbill

In some ways Thad Luckinbill seems like the archetypal blonde-haired, blue-eyed hunk that could be the stereotypical hero in a movie or the kind of All-American jock character that’s dominant in a very action-packed movie. But in truth he’s actually a rather humble guy that is more of a supporting character, though he does like to stay active and does in fact play on a basketball team that’s non-pro and is mostly for the enjoyment of it. That being said he’s still a strong enough character that his career has so far been successful and more to the point has
