"Brooklyn Nine-Nine" Showrunner, Cast Tease Gina's 'F--king Epic' Exit

"Brooklyn Nine Nine"'s departing Chelsea Peretti is going out in a blaze of, well, Gina. “I can tease that Gina departs in a very Gina Linetti-esque way,” showrunner Dan Goor tells TVLine, adding that the character’s Season 6 swan song will be “funny but also… emotional. [Chelsea] is really one of the funniest people in the world and a great actress and I think all of that comes out in her exit.”

Last month, Peretti announced that she would be jumping ship shortly after the former Fox sitcom docks at NBC on Thursday, Jan. 10. At the time, Goor conceded that

"Marvel’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D" Renewed For Season 7 By ABC

  • Deadline
Ahead of its sixth season premiere this summer, ABC has renewed Marvel’s "Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D." for a seventh season. It is believed to consist of 13 episodes, on par with Season 6.

The timing of the early renewal is likely tied to the cast’s option coming up. Along with picking up the actors’ options, ordering Season 7 ahead of time would allow for the two shorter seasons to be filmed back-to-back, which helps to reduces costs.

When "S.H.I.E.L.D."'s move to summer was announced in May, ABC Entertainment president Channing Dungey made it clear that Season 6 was not envisioned as a final one.

How ABC Pulled Off a Stealth Transition for Channing Dungey and Karey Burke
Channing Dungey called a meeting Friday of ABC’s top executives and revealed to them that she would step down as the network’s entertainment president. Within an hour, Disney went public with the news that Dungey would be succeeded by Karey Burke, head of programming for ABC’s sibling cabler Freeform.

The news was not a surprise to those who know Dungey, who had been wrestling with the decision on whether to stay at ABC or move on when her contract ended early next year, three years after she was named ABC Entertainment president in February 2016.

But the news

The Five Best Ethan Hawke Movies of His Career

Ethan Hawke sometimes seems like the guy that wasn’t meant to be an actor but he slipped through the screening process and made it onto a set anyway. Take that as you will but in addition to this he got to stay by proving that he could act and that he could be worth the effort of giving a bit of fame to in order to get his career rolling. Since that time he’s played a lot of different roles, a good number of which have been individuals that have a rather interesting if tragic or dark past and are

The Best Uses of Trace Adkins Songs in Movies or TV

Trace Adkins has a pretty interesting back story that’s also kind of tragic in spots but makes him all the more interesting since he’s the kind of guy that a lot of people look up to and gather inspiration from when it comes to their lives or their desire to follow their dreams. From learning the guitar at a young age, playing gospel for a while, and then being a walk-on to a college team he’s done quite a bit. He never played a game due to a knee injury, but as he went through life he did work on

Escape at Dannemora Review: A Superb Cast Elevates a Standard Prison Break

Escape at Dannemora Review: A Superb Cast Elevates a Standard Prison Break
We’ve seen plenty of prison breaks on TV and in movies over the years. (Heck, we even had a whole show called Prison Break… and it ran for five seasons!) So as yet another entry in a well-worn genre, Showtime’s true-crime limited series Escape at Dannemora — premiering this Sunday at 10/9c; I’ve seen six of the seven episodes — is brutally effective, but not especially groundbreaking. When it delves into the thickly tangled psyches of its characters, though, it rises to a higher level, thanks to excellent performances from its three lead actors — especially Patricia Arquette, who delivers fascinating,

You might need just a moment to think about where you’ve seen Wendie Malick before, but if you can’t figure it out after a moment then you might not have been watching a lot of movies or TV shows lately. ‘Dogs’ Review: Netflix’s Docuseries Is a Poignant Love Letter to Humanity

“Human relationships are complex. Dogs make life more simple,” says groomer Kenichi Nagase in Netflix’s docuseries “Dogs.” The Japanese introvert has hit upon a byproduct of the six-part anthology series, ostensibly an examination of the unconditional love between owner and pet, but ultimately a celebration of how the love of dogs can inspire people to focus on a passion. And as seen in this series, this leads to greater heights of humanity, even acts of heroism. Yes, lolling tongues, floppy ears, and wagging tails abound, but in the end, it’s the people’s stories that resonate the most in “Dogs.” Dogs are easy to love, and through their example, we can relearn to love our fellow man.

Documentary heavyweights Amy Berg (“Deliver Us From Evil”) and Glen Zipper lead a handful of acclaimed filmmakers through six tales of doggy devotion that travel from the U.S. to Syria,

TV Review: ‘The Clinton Affair’

TV Review: ‘The Clinton Affair’
Earlier this year, Bill Clinton undertook a publicity tour — his first in some time disconnected from his wife’s political career, and one designed to promote a thriller novel he’d co-written with James Patterson. But what perhaps was meant as the 42nd president’s sprightly display of charisma and distraction from the news generated by the 45th quickly became something for which he was, strangely, hardly prepared. Faced with questions about his treatment of White House intern Monica Lewinsky, he bobbled them badly, seeming defensive and aggressive, unwilling to let in any point-of-view other than his own narrative in
