‘Get Shorty’ Renewed for Season 3 at Epix
Epix has renewed “Get Shorty” for Season 3.

The loose adaptation of the 1990 Elmore Leonard novel and subsequent film stars Chris O’Dowd, Ray Romano, Lidio Porto, Megan Stevenson, Sean Bridgers, and Carolyn Dodd. In the series, O’Dowd plays a hitman from Nevada who struggles to shed his criminal past after he moves to Hollywood to become a movie producer.

The series is executive produced by Davey Holmes and Adam Arkin. The series is produced by MGM Television and internationally distributed by MGM, now the sole owner of Epix.

Amazon has renewed legal drama “Goliath” for a third season.

Goliath” centers on washed-up lawyer Billy McBride, played by Billy Bob Thornton, who has one shot at redemption after a client he successfully defended from a murder charge went on to slaughter a family. Thornton won a Golden Globe for his performance in 2017.

‘Detroiters’ Canceled at Comedy Central, But the Show May Find Home Elsewhere
Detroiters,” for two years one of the brightest highlights in the Comedy Central lineup, won’t be returning to the network for third season. Series co-star/co-creator Sam Richardson announced on Twitter that the series may not be completely finished, but new episodes won’t be coming to Comedy Central in the new year.

“Sadly, @Detroiters won’t be picked up for a season 3 at Comedy Central,” wrote Richardson. “I want to thank everyone who watched and supported the show. It was a dream to make and I’m proud that those who did see it enjoyed it. Maybe it will find a home elsewhere, who knows? But truly, thank you.”

The series, which grew to become a favorite within comedy circles, premiered in 2017, starring Richardson and Tim Robinson as a pair of friends who run a Detroit-area advertising firm.

Sadly, @Detroiters won’t be picked up for a season 3 at Comedy Central.

Kathie Lee Gifford is leaving the “Today” show after over a decade co-hosting the fourth hour of the NBC morning staple. Her exit was announced to staff Tuesday via a memo from NBC News President Noah Oppenheim.

“It is with mixed emotions that I share the news Kathie Lee Gifford has decided it’s time to leave ‘Today,'” the NBC News chief wrote. “As we all know, Kathie Lee’s plate has been overflowing lately with film, music and book projects, and after giving us 11 extraordinary years, she’s decided to focus her attention full-time on those other creative endeavors.”

He continued: “When we first launched this incredible hour, no one could have predicted the lightning in a bottle that is Hoda & Kathie Lee. Whether in studio or on one of their many road trips, they have delighted our audience with their distinct brand of fun, friendship and adventure.

Ratings: Arrow Hits 54-Week Highs With Crossover; Legends at Season High

The CW’s Arrow on Monday night drew 2.04 million total viewers and a 0.7 demo rating with Part 2 of the “Elseworlds” crossover, up 51 and 40 percent week-to-week to mark its best numbers since last year’s team-up event. TVLine readers gave the episode an average grade of “A-.”

Versus Sunday’s The Flash episode, Arrow was up in audience while steady in the demo. It was down 19 and 22 percent, however, from last year’s Part 2.

Leading out of “Elseworlds,” Legends of Tomorrow (1.11 mil/0.4) ticked up with its fall finale to mark season highs.
