How to Get Your Stuff Featured On American Pickers

They say holding on to something, or someone is sometimes not worth it, and you should learn to let go. Well, many of us have become hoarders, stuffing whatever we no longer use but somehow think it can be of use later in life, in the garage or the attic. You never realize how much unnecessary stuff you have until you are moving and you have a box labeled “old stuff” ready to be shoved into the moving van. You do not have to get to that point because two people, Frank Fritz, and Mike Wolfe, have made it their

Longtime ’60 Minutes’ Producer Alan Weisman Dies at 68

Alan Weisman, a longtime producer for “60 Minutes” known for his work with Morley Safer, died Thursday at his home in New Jersey of natural causes. He was 68.

Weisman also produced Safer’s interviews with such showbiz notables as Jack Lemmon, Woody Allen and violinist Nadja Salerno-Sonnenberg.

The film cast also had Katy Mixon in it. Katy played Michelle Fell, Nina’s loud-mouthed friend. The Quiet was one of Katy Mixon’s first roles, and she began playing supporting characters in other movies as well before she landed the lead female role in HBO’s

The Five Best Submarine Movies of All-Time

The thought of being at sea is, for some people, unbearable as there is little to no control over your surroundings. Imagine then being in a submarine below the waves, unable to go anywhere other than to another compartment of the sub and knowing that there is an unknown and waiting sea all around you waiting to rush in should anything untoward happen. It’s not the kind of thought many people would want to entertain but it’s the kind of thing that many of those serving in such a capacity have to keep in the back of their minds. That’s

10 Things You Didn’t Know about William H Macy

It kind of depends on what you’ve seen him in when it comes to how you feel about William H. Macy. The overall consensus is that he’s a great actor but some of his characters have been truly despicable to say the least. Possibly the worst among them that people still tend to like is Frank Gallagher from Shameless. He plays the patriarch of the family who’s almost always drunk, in need of a drink, or trying to bum a drink off of someone. Frank’s just about the worst father you could ask for since in the past he’s rarely

How ‘A Quiet Place’ Sound Editors Scared Audience With No Sound

We rely so heavily on sound that it’s hard to imagine what it might be like to live in the utter absence of noise for even a moment out of life. Those that are born deaf or have gone deaf know far more about silence than many of us, but in the film A Quiet Place we were reminded that noise is an integral part of our lives that we tend to have trouble giving up. But the issue of being hunted by creatures that are heavily armored and hunt by echolocation is that sound becomes your worst enemy. In

The Best Uses of Elvis Costello Songs in Movies or TV

A lot of folks do know about Elvis Costello since he’s obviously made the rounds throughout his career and hasn’t been too shy about popping in here and there to make an appearance and possibly sing a bit, or perhaps just lend out a track or two to the desired TV show or movie. All in all he’s been quite successful considering that he started out just playing here and there when he was younger while trying to hold own a job to support himself. Costello is one of those folks that has managed to create something special while at

Love is the greatest gift of all. It can, however, be evasive for most people although the lucky ones find their soulmates the first time they set out to look for them. Desperation sometimes sets in, and people end up doing strange things to get their special someone. For Onyeka Ehie, after failing to get someone to strike an instant connection with for over five years, joining “The Bachelor” became her last resort. The Five Best Tracy Chapman Songs of Her Career

Tracy Chapman is a singer that you might like or you might know nothing about since she’s the kind of person that’s been seen to hit the mainstream but at the same time is in kind of a different class all of her own. Her music is something that really pulls at the heartstrings and reminds us of a humanity that we tend to forget about sometimes. Her mother actually gave her a ukelele when she was younger and by the age of 8 she’d learned how to strum it well enough to make it work and had started writing

Khloe Kardashian To ‘Bachelor’ Creator: ‘Stop Or You Will Be Hearing From My Lawyers’
Update: Khloe Kardashian slams “Bachelor” creator Mike Fleiss’ claims she could be the next “Bachelorette.” And her sister Kim Kardashian West has her back.

I’m not fucking clickbait right now. Stop or you will be hearing from my lawyers. How insensitive!! https://t.co/vTKi83nLUJ

— Khloé (@khloekardashian) February 24, 2019

The time has come to choose a new Bachelorette, and “The Bachelor” creator Fleiss strongly hinted that Khloe Kardashian may be in the mix.

“I have already been in contact with my dear friend @KrisJenner about @khloekardashian as #TheBachelorette,” he tweeted Friday, after tweeting Thursday that “any decision regarding @khloekardashian

Why “Black Panther” Didn’t Really Deserve a Best Picture Nomination

I can already kind of hear people’s jaws dropping but I’m going to go ahead and say it, Black Panther really doesn’t deserve a Best Picture Nomination. Now before the hate and vitriol starts rolling in let’s take a good look at some films that have earned this distinction and why I would say such a thing. It’s not that it wasn’t a good movie, since it was filled with action and a very great sense of purpose that many people were ready for. It’s not that it was a movie based on a comic book since this shouldn’t matter

Young and the Restless Cast Members Who Were Previously Fired

Young and the Restless fans know that not everyone can be here forever. Actors come and go. They get jobs elsewhere. They retire. They have babies and they want to stay home with those babies. Their lives change, and that is just how it goes. Many times, it’s the choice of the actor or the actress to make this decision to stay or go when contract negotiations begin, but that’s all there is to it. Some know they are only here for a short time until their contract is up, and some have no clue they will not be here

The Five Best Songs from the Guardians of the Galaxy 2 Soundtrack

It’s funny how some movies will make use of new and extremely popular songs while others will dig into the past and dredge up songs that are still popular but haven’t been quite as prominent for many a year. Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 2 however made use of a wide selection of songs that belong to a very different generation largely because these were the songs the Peter Quill idolized when he was younger. Throughout much of the movie if not all of it you can hear the old tunes pouring out in a way that makes a lot

‘It’s a Hard Truth Ain’t It’: Prisoners Direct Their Own Stories in HBO’s Groundbreaking Doc — Watch

“It’s a Hard Truth Ain’t It” is the first widely released documentary to be directed by men still incarcerated in a maximum security prison, but its innovative storytelling doesn’t stop there. As the prisoners interview each other and come to terms with how they received decades-long sentences, their memories are depicted in animated sequences by Yoni Goodman, of “Waltz With Bashir” fame.

In the exclusive behind-the-scenes video below, co-director Madeleine Sackler, the film’s producers, and the incarcerated men themselves take you through the documentary’s premise and purpose.

“The men try to unpack how they all ended up in prison with violent sentences, and they use the experience of learning how to make a film to try to figure those things out,” Sackler says.

Alternating roles in front of and behind the camera, the men of Indiana’s Pendleton Correctional Facility study documentary filmmaking as they create their own autobiographical documentary.

Bold and the Beautiful Cast Members Who Were Previously Fired

The Bold and the Beautiful fans might not have more than 50 year of shows to watch, but more than 30 years is a long time to love a show so much. It’s a long time to love characters to love, and that’s what makes people such big fans of what is going on in their lives. For now, though, there is a lot that might happen with any character, and that’s not something that fans ever think about.
