‘The Conners’ Renewed For Season 2 By ABC
It’s official — ABC has ordered a second season of Roseanne spinoff The Conners. The renewal comes after series’ producer Werner Entertainment secured new deals with the core cast of Roseanne veterans, John Goodman, who plays Dan Conner, Laurie Metcalf (Jackie Harris), Sara Gilbert (Darlene Conner) and Lecy Goranson (Becky Conner-Healy). The size of the order has not been revealed by ABC but has been speculated to be 13 episodes, slightly bigger than last season’s 11.

While not the mega hit of the size of the Roseanne revival, The Conners has been a breakout for ABC. In its first season, the Roseanne followup averaged 9.5 million total viewers and a 2.2 adults 18-49 rating (Live+7) to rank as the season’s No. 1 new comedy in total viewers and 18-49 and ABC’s No. 1 comedy in both categories. The Conners improved its Tuesday 8 pm time period by 33% in total viewers and by 22% in adults

So Now It’s Time To Have Brie Larson and Gal Gadot Star in a Movie Together Right?

Well, we now have strong women in the superhero world, and to be honest it’s great to see but the fervor that’s been building is a great but also somewhat worthy of an eye roll. Gal Gadot has actually congratulated Brie Larson since, quite honestly, Captain Marvel has already been breaking box office records apparently, much as Wonder Woman did when it came out. There is a lot of positive fallout to be taken from these movies and it’s actually kind of an interesting idea to think that both women might be able to be seen in a movie together.

Boston Legal, Blue Bloods, True Detective and the Uses of Warren Zevon

Warren Zevon was an unmistakable talent who possessed an indefinable original genius. An excitable boy they all said. Sadly, the greatness of the singer-songwriter was never truly recognized in his own time, mainly of his own doing. Best known for his 1978 soulful, funky anthem “Werewolves of London”, he turned in a brilliant yet tragic career that spanned from the late 60s until his death in 2003. Zevon was quick to sabotage his greatest chances at superstardom, always more comfortable along the borders of the spotlight rather than in the center of it. As he stated in a 2002 Rolling

Disney’s Owned Fox for Less than a Week and Has Already Shut Down ‘Fox 2000’

We always knew that something like this was going to happen. Disney didn’t spend over $71 billion just for the Hell of it. They were never planning on keeping the company humming along exactly as it had been. They own it now, and the plan is to divide and conquer: restructure, reorganize, rearrange. Call it “growing pains” if you want. In a way, that’s exactly what this is. They close down a division here, lay off some people their, merge one department into another and consolidate everything together in one nice, big, happy package. I just didn’t expect it to

It Looks Like Emirates Airline Commercials Rips off Final Fantasy X Song

Whether it’s true that Emirates Airline and one of their newest commercials have gone so far as to rip off a song from the Final Fantasy X soundtrack is really hard to say. This is largely due to the fact that there’s only a snippet of the music called To Zanarkand. The song itself is the intro to the game and is also a very meaningful track that takes place far into the game when the party reaches the ruined, holy city of Zanarkand which is the ultimate goal they are seeking and is in effect the end of the

Where Has Conner Kent Been All This Time?

There have been a number of DC Comics characters to use the name Superboy. For example, the first Superboy was Clark Kent when he was still a child, who had a number of series from the 1940s to the 1980s until his existence was retconned in 1986. Likewise, recent times saw the introduction of a new Superboy in the form of Jonathan Samuel Kent, who is the son of Clark Kent and Lois Lane. On top of this, it is important to note that there have been a number of Superboys from timelines other than that of the main DC

‘The Oa’ Season 2 Ending Is So Crazy It Could Kill the Series

‘The Oa’ Season 2 Ending Is So Crazy It Could Kill the Series
[Editor’s Note: The following contains spoilers from “The Oa” Season 2, including the batshit finale.]

To say nothing will prepare you for the end of “The Oa” could be seen as an embellishment, considering the entirety of Season 2 — a meticulously drawn-out, increasingly bananas story from creators Brit Marling and Zal Batmanglij — is designed to do just that. The madness only escalates as Marling’s “original angel” (aka Oa) learns more and more about inter-dimensional travel in order to save her fellow jumpers from Dr. Hap (Jason Isaacs). Yet even when you think the final bit of insanity has played out, a whole other layer of crazy is spread over the series, and the ending of “The Oa” goes totally off the rails.

On the one hand, that’s exactly what fans should want. The Netflix original series puts its emphasis on “original” at every turn; so much so, it’s harder and harder to complain whenever the bold

Having come from one of the poorer districts as a young man he worked his way up to the role in life that he
