Steve Carell is teaming up with the creator of “The Office,” Greg Daniels, for a brand-new workplace comedy series. But this time, they’re not making paper. Ratings: The CW’s "Roswell, New Mexico" Premiere Is Pretty Deserted

Ratings: The CW’s
If the truth is out there, it’s probably not watching The CW’s “Roswell, New Mexico” either.

Tuesday’s series premiere was the lowest-rated and least-watched hour on the English-language broadcast networks. That’s not entirely shocking given the channel and time slot, but it’s also not a particularly good start.

Back to their old ways, NBC and CBS split Tuesday as “This Is Us” and “NCIS” dominated primetime in their respective ways. That means NBC was No. 1 among adults 18-49 and CBS topped total viewers.

Julia Roberts Won't Return for 'Homecoming' Season 2
It's official: Julia Roberts' time in front of the cameras on Amazon's Homecoming has come to an end.

Sources tell The Hollywood Reporter that Roberts' initial deal for Homecoming — the star's first TV series regular role — was for a one-season commitment based purely on the Amazon drama's creative storyline. That said, Roberts will still remain involved as an executive producer alongside showrunner Sam Esmail on the Universal Cable Productions series that landed at Amazon with a two-season commitment.

It's unclear if there will be any other major cast departures for season two or if ...

‘Trial and Error’ Canceled After Two Seasons at NBC

“Trial & Error” is officially done.

The true crime spoof had effectively been canceled last year when NBC did not exercise its option to renew the show for a third season. Studio Warner Bros. TV had been trying to find it a new network home, but that search has come up short.

The series took place in the fictional town of East Peck, with each season focusing on a different murder case. John Lithgow starred in Season 1 as a professor accused of killing his wife, while Kristin Chenoweth starred in Season 2 as a socialite accused of killing her husband.

It starred

The band Sugar Ray made their debut in 1995 but it wouldn’t be until 1997 that they really started gaining recognition as something special. When they first came out a lot of us can probably recall that they were one of the hottest groups around thanks to their fresh sound and their ability to speak to the youth of the era. But thankfully while some might have called them a one-hit wonder others saw potential in what they could do. They’ve kind of gone up and down throughout the years as far as popularity but people still know who they

Ellen Pompeo May Not Bid Farewell to Grey's Next Year After All: 'I Keep Saying I'm Ready to Move on But... '
Last fall, Ellen Pompeo sent Grey’s Anatomy fans into cardiac arrest when she intimated that she’s itching to bid Meredith adieu next season when her current contract expires. But during an interview on the ABC drama’s set earlier this month, the actress was singing a slightly different tune.

“I keep saying, ‘I’m ready to move on and I want to stop the show before the ratings go down,’ but the ratings never go down!” she exclaims with a laugh. “They go down a little bit, but the fact that we are able to hold our [title as ABC’s No. 1 series] is

‘Wayne’ Review: It’s ‘The End of the F***ing World,’ But This YouTube Original Is Better Than Fine

‘Wayne’ Review: It’s ‘The End of the F***ing World,’ But This YouTube Original Is Better Than Fine
“‘Bonnie and Clyde’ for the younger generation” must be a hot pitch around Hollywood. After Netflix struck cult-classic gold with “The End of the Fucking World” in early 2018, YouTube has another rebellious-teen/road-trip romance to rev up the new year. And unlike so many inadvertent entertainment twins, where one entry dwarfs the other, “Wayne” is worth watching.

Created by Shawn Simmons (“School of Rock”) and produced by the “Deadpool” team of Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, the half-hour black comedy follows Wayne (Mark McKenna of “Sing Street”) as he takes and doles out beatings, each delegated by his sense of duty. The 15-year-old tough guy has quite a reputation around his southeastern Massachusetts hometown, and most kids run when they hear, “Wayne’s comin’!” But his vengeance stems from pain: Wayne’s mother up and left, while his father (Ray McKinnon) is dying from workplace illness.

R&B Artist Major. Lands Recurring Role on Fox’s ‘Star’ (Exclusive)

R&B artist Major. is on “cloud three million” right now. His track “Honest” scored a 2019 Grammy nomination for best traditional R&B performance, and, as he tells Variety exclusively, he recently landed a recurring role on Fox’s “Star.”

The singer-songwriter, born Major Johnson Finley, is currently shooting the musical drama in Atlanta, and will make his debut on the April 10 episode of the show’s third season. ‘Now Apocalypse’ Trailer: First Look at Gregg Araki’s Neon-Hued End of the World

‘Now Apocalypse’ Trailer: First Look at Gregg Araki’s Neon-Hued End of the World
Most days, it feels like the world may end at any moment. In the world of “Now Apocalypse,” visions of that imminent future come with eye-catching bright greens and pinks. Gregg Araki’s ten-part series, coming to Starz later this year, shows a side of Los Angeles that’s dealing just as much with how to navigate daily life as it is with what’s on the horizon.

A new trailer for the show follows Ulysses (Avan Jogia) as he tries to get himself removed from his own personal La rut. His daily dose of weed escapism is eventually leading him to seeing the potential end of the world, a premonition that may or may not have something to do with what he’s smoking. Either way, he’s not alone in his quest to make sense of his present, as friends Ford (Beau Mirchoff), Severine (Roxane Mesquida), and Carly

Why Aren’t You Watching TV’s Last Serious Show About Movies?

We’re sitting in the middle of the street, a truck is heading toward us, and we can’t move. Not on principle — we’re not staging a sit-in. It’s because we’re mic’ed up and shooting a TV show at the 2017 Toronto Film Festival. King Street is closed, but festival-approved vehicles still have the right of way. Luckily, the driver sees us and as soon as it passes, without skipping a beat, our host launches into “Hello, and welcome to BBC Culture at the Toronto International Film Festival. I’m Tom Brook.”

With decades of experience under his belt, Brook is unflappable. No wonder his show, “Talking Movies,” is now celebrating its 20th anniversary. If you’re a movie lover and have never heard of “Talking Movies” there’s a gaping hole in your cinephilia: this half-hour show airs monthly in the Us and around the world

Here's How Supernatural Will Resurrect Jeffrey Dean Morgan's Papa Winchester
Jeffrey Dean Morgan‘s long-awaited return to Supernatural is happening under some unusual circumstances. (Did you expect anything less from the CW series?)

The Walking Dead villain reprises his role as Dean and Sam’s father John Winchester for the 300th episode (airing Feb. 7 at 8/7c) — but how is that possible given dad’s current deceased state? “Our guys are put in a position where they essentially can have a wish granted,” showrunner Andrew Dabb tells EW.com. “They’re actually expecting something else, but [John’s return] comes from a place of want by Dean. The need for closure is really what
