Madam Secretary: Daisy Inspires Kids, Elizabeth Running for President

There are some things that a magic wand, or a magic rake rather, cannot fix. In this week’s episode of Madam Secretary, Elizabeth jets off to Milan to discuss with China about the Fair Work and Trade Agreement. Shame it’s for political reasons and not partake in the grandeur of Fashion Week. Daisy also becomes an inspiring figure for a group of deserving kids. The contrast between Foreign Minister Chen and Elizabeth’s political careers was interesting. I did not know that the former was planning to run for president until later in the episode. I’m sure that he would have

10 Things You Didn’t Know about Isabel Lucas

There are pretty faces aplenty in Hollywood and saying that they’re all alike is something that some folks would say just to avoid having to pick one out from the crowd. She’s a bit quiet sometimes and not quite as forcible in her

Are Luke Cage and Iron First the First Victims of #PeakSuperhero Fatigue?

Are Luke Cage and Iron First the First Victims of #PeakSuperhero Fatigue?
Remember when Smallville was TV’s lone superhero show? (And hell, it didn’t even let Clark Kent have flights or tights.) Now, seven years after that Superman origin story wrapped its run, TV is home to nearly 20 comic book-based series about specially abled heroes, with another batch in the pipeline.

Could it be that Luke Cage and Iron Fist, which both got powered down this month, are the first casualties of simply too much super going on?

Netflix famously doesn’t release viewership numbers, so there’s no knowing if these two of its five Marvel hero titles simply weren’t pulling their weight.

What Designated Survivor’s Focus Will Be For Season 3

In May of 2018, ABC made the announcement that it would be canceling Designated Survivor. There seems to have been a number of reasons for this choice on the part of the network. First, Designated Survivor had been see a steady fall in its viewership numbers over the course of two seasons, which was particularly problematic because there wasn’t a clear way for said process to be reversed. Second, the series had a succession of show-runners, which was enough of a hassle to eat into the network’s patience. Third, some sources have claimed that the third season would have needed

Julia Louis-Dreyfus Used Her Mark Twain Prize Speech to Rip Donald Trump for Mocking Dr. Christine Blasey Ford

Julia Louis-Dreyfus Used Her Mark Twain Prize Speech to Rip Donald Trump for Mocking Dr. Christine Blasey Ford
Julia Louis-Dreyfus was awarded the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts on Sunday, October 21, and the Emmy-winning actress used her time on stage to make a pointed dig at President Donald Trump. Louis-Dreyfus started her speech by remembering her teenage dream of becoming a dramatic actress. During prep school, Louis-Dreyfus even appeared in a production of “Serendipity.”

“I can remember every single aspect of that play that night, so much so that I would testify under oath about it,” Louis-Dreyfus said (via Deadline). “But I can’t remember who drove me there or who drove me home.”

Louis-Dreyfus’ line directly mocked Trump’s response to Dr. Christine Blasey Ford’s sexual assault allegation against Brett Kavanaugh. During Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court confirmation hearing, Trump made fun of Ford’s testimony and criticized her for not remembering all of the details about the night she was allegedly assaulted.
