The premium streaming service has a drama in the early stages of development based on Bret Easton Ellis’ 1985 novel and the subsequent 1987 flick of the same name, starring Andrew McCarthy, Robert Downey Jr., Jamie Gertz and James Spader.
“Lost” writer and producer Craig Wright is set to pen the script and executive produce the adaptation alongside author Ellis.
“As you can imagine, yesterday’s headlines were incredibly distressing,” the actor wrote in a statement on Instagram. “It is true that I have been reprimanded twice during the past two seasons of ‘Lethal Weapon.'”
The statement goes on to outline the two incidents that led to him being disciplined, both stemming from the working conditions on set. One was a confrontation with a guest director and assistant director earlier in the season, and the other came during the filming of an episode Crawford directed, when an actor was hit by a piece of shrapnel from a stunt.
In addition, in the first 72 hours of release (April 13-15) of all 10 epsiodes, “Lost in Space” viewers on average watched the show for 2.5 hours, per Nielsen. The media-measurement firm found the series was heavily binged — with almost 1.2 million people having watched the series’ final episode within those three days.
By comparison, the “Stranger Things” season 2 premiere episode average 15.8 million viewers from Oct. 27-29, while 11 million U.S. viewers who watched
The streamer has opted to cancel the Jason Katims-produced drama after three seasons and 36 episodes.
"While it's sad that The Path is ending, I'm brimming with gratitude and pride," creator Jessica Goldberg said in a statement. "It was a gift to be able to tell challenging and emotional stories for three seasons in this very strange and unique world. The caliber of talent and passion everyone who worked on this show brought — from my partners Jason Katims and Michelle Lee, the execs at Hulu, the writers, actors, directors, designers and crew...
MTV has ordered four unscripted series as it looks to stack the night with “Jersey Shore” compatible unscripted series. Two of the four shows are set well outside of New York and L.A. — Decatur, Ind. and Pike County, KY — in a bid to add more cultural diversity to the slate at a moment when Middle America is a hot demo for TV.
“What’s happening in the middle of the country is so different than

The original “Double Dare” and “Family Double Dare,” both hosted by Marc Summers, combined for a run from 1986-1993 on Nick. The format was rebooted for one season at the turn of the century as “Double Dare 2000.”
Nickelodeon also filmed a “Double Dare” special at Comic Con 2016.
A rep for Summers did not immediately respond to TheWrap‘s question about any potential involvement as host or producer. Summers produced “Double Dare 2000” and has stayed busy lately as an executive producer on food and restaurant shows.

It’s funny how far a “pious little s— with a broomstick up her a–” can come given the right set of circumstances. But in Hulu and MGM’s version of the story,
