‘Smallville’ Star Allison Mack Accused of Recruiting for NXIVM, Group Accused of Sex Trafficking and Branding Women

‘Smallville’ Star Allison Mack Accused of Recruiting for NXIVM, Group Accused of Sex Trafficking and Branding Women
Actress Allison Mack, known for her work on the superhero TV series “Smallville,” was arrested Friday and accused of recruiting women into a purported self-help organization, NXIVM, in which they were required to work and have sex with the group’s leader, Keith Raniere, prosecutors said.

U.S. attorney Richard P. Donoghue said in a statement Friday that Mack recruited women for Raniere, and that the women were “exploited, both sexually and for their labor.” He said Mack, who was arrested in Brooklyn, New York, is accused of “directly or implicitly” requiring women “to engage in sexual activity with Raniere. In exchange for this, Mack received financial and other benefits from Raniere.”

Raniere was arrested in Mexico in March. He traveled there after The New York Times published a report in October about the group branding women. Mack’s involvement with the group has long been a subject of speculation: She can be seen in a series of conversations posted to YouTube last year, smilingly interviewing Raniere about his teachings.

His charges in March involve sex trafficking and conspiring to force labor. According to Donoghue, Raniere, known within the group as “The Vanguard,” created “a secret society of women whom he had sex with and branded with his initials, coercing them with the threat of releasing their highly personal information and taking their assets.”

‘Grey’s Anatomy': Geena Davis Will Reprise Her Role As Dr Nicole Herman
Oscar-winning actress Geena Davis will reprise her role as Dr. Nicole Herman in the penultimate episode of “Grey’s Anatomy” Season 14, TheWrap has learned.

We last saw Dr. Herman in Season 11, and she and Dr. Arizona Robbins (Jessica Capshaw) had a strained but special mentor-mentee relationship. Knowing she had a brain tumor, Herman wanted to impart as much knowledge about pediatrics and fetal surgery to Arizona as she possibly could. She ended up getting brain surgery, but eventually went blind after complications.

According to the episode’s logline, Davis will return as Dr. Herman to present Arizona with an exciting opportunity — could this be how Arizona will be written off the show? It wouldn’t be the first time a character left Grey Sloan Memorial for another career opportunity — we’re looking at you, Cristina Yang.

The dangers of a divorce and what it can do to children is found to be quite poignant with the film Loveless. The parents within the film are simply cold and argumentative towards one another and never seem to consider what their continual arguing is doing to their child. In fact it’s safe to say that the father’s newest child that he’s about to have with his girlfriend could be treated just as coldly as it’s described in the synopsis. No matter how it happens however, divorce is one of the many things that can lead a child down the

‘Aggretsuko’ Review: Netflix’s Animated Series About a Red Panda Who Loves Death Metal Is a Subversive Gem

So cute. So cuddly. And Retsuko’s death-metal vocals will shred your clothes and melt your face off. Netflix’s newest animated series is raging against the machine and looks adorable doing it.

Starring Retsuko, a red panda character developed from the same company that masterminded Hello Kitty, “Aggretsuko” (a portmanteau of “aggressive” and “Retsuko”) depicts the life of the 25-year-old accounting clerk by day who deals with workplace frustrations and injustices by growling death metal at her local karaoke joint at night. More than just escapist fare, Netflix’s anime series manages to fit in a remarkable amount of insight about society within 10 brief, 15-minute episodes.

The injustices seen at Retsuko’s workplace are typical: her overly demanding boss Director Ton who literally is a pig just practices his golf swing all day, the fawning brown-noser Tsunoda gets special treatment, and the office busybody doesn’t seem to have

Top Five Nickelback Songs Used in Movies or TV

As of late I’ve heard a lot about Nickelback enduring a lot of criticism over their choice of content in their songs and their formulaic approach to each track. While this isn’t something most people that love music would enjoy it’s also not enough to condemn them since a lot of bands tend to practice the cookie-cutter routine that Nickelback is being criticized for at this time. They might seem to have run out of ideas but their older music is still viable and still enjoyable so to be honest it’s not like they’ve done absolutely nothing with their career.

General Hospital: Jason Shows Up in Switzerland

General Hospital fans know Jason will show up in Switzerland for his own reasons, and we suspect that he might be there because Anna is there. This won’t happen right away, of course, but it will happen soon. And we think that there is a good chance someone will find out he is there and want to know why.
