The gig has become one of the more highly coveted in town, even though most of the industry has been kept in the dark about who has been meeting for the role and what the movie is even about.

Although rumors are swirling that the film is a romantic thriller in the vein of “North by Northwest,” sources have denied those claims, keeping plot details under lock and key. One insider described the pic as a massive, innovative, action blockbuster, which will again be shown in Imax.

Nolan is also producing along with his partner Emma Thomas. Production is set to commence later this year.

James Corden to host 2019 Tony Awards on June 9

James Corden to host 2019 Tony Awards on June 9
Three years after making his Emmy-winning debut as the host of the Tony Awards, James Corden is returning to preside over these top theater honors. The June 9 ceremony from Radio City Music Hall will air live on CBS. These awards celebrate the best of the 2018/2019 theater season. Corden won a Tony in 2012 for his comic turn in the play “One Man, Two Guvnors.”

In 2016, Corden rode the “Hamilton” wave to the highest ratings for this awards show in a decade. This season doesn’t boast such a super-sized hit. However, Corden’s fame has grown since then and he could use his late night talker to tout the Tonys telecast.

After his success with the Tonys in 2016, CBS tapped Corden to host the Grammys in 2017 and 2018. That gig is one of of the reasons why he passed on returning to emcee the Tony Awards in those years. As he told us last year,

Paramount Reveals Official Title For 'Terminator 6'

Paramount Reveals Official Title For 'Terminator 6'
This summer, Terminator 2: Judgment Day will celebrate its 28th anniversary, but in all the years since its release, the franchise still hasn’t given us another another installment that’s been particularly worth watching. And even though most fans are approaching the next Terminator film with a fair amount of skepticism, the involvement of James Cameron as producer does bode well for it.

Since filming wrapped last November, we haven’t seen any footage from the project and though we have witnessed a little behind-the-scenes content, we’re still pretty in the dark when it comes to what we can expect. One thing we do know now, however, is the official title, as Paramount has revealed that it’ll be called Terminator: Dark Fate. Without having any plot details to dig into and no explanation from the studio, we’re unsure of what the meaning behind the moniker may be,

‘Stranger Things’ Season 3 Trailer: Summer Lovin’, Teen Angst – and a Seriously Freaky New Monster (Video)
The long-awaited trailer for Season 3 of “Stranger Things” has finally arrived. And it looks like this year we’ll be trading in the Upside Down for teenage wasteland. Or at least living between the two different horror settings when the Duffer Brothers-created sci-fi series returns to Netflix on the Fourth of July.

The 2-minute, 47-second trailer opens with Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo) returning home from some trip to a surprise party hosted by Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Will (Noah Schnapp), Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin) and Max (Sadie Sink). And for a kid who has seen some the freakiest supernatural creatures we could imagine, he is unreasonably spooked by the sweet gesture.

The rest of the video is set to The Who’s “Baba O’Riley,” a perfect backdrop to the summer lovin’ and teenage angst the Hawkins crew is going through as they fight puberty and other horrors during their school break.

The fast-paced clip sees the musicians dressed completely in red, acting out some of the lyrical moments with the help of red-clad gymnasts as the words scroll across the screen. SXSW Film Review: ‘Come as You Are’

The rare remake that’s actually a slight improvement on its predecessor, Richard Wong’s “Come as You Are” translates Geoffrey Enthoven’s 2011 Belgian “Hasta la Vista” to middle America. Other changes are less substantial, but this seriocomedy has a less formulaic feel than the original while remaining a crowd-pleasing buddy pic-caper with a soft-pedaled minority empowerment theme. Reception in real-world disabled communities may be somewhat muted by the casting of able-bodied actors in the lead roles. Nonetheless, it’s hard to entirely resist this loosely fact-inspired tale of three physically challenged men road-tripping to Montreal in order to lose their virginity at a “special needs” bordello.

Sticking close in outline to the earlier screenplay by Mariano VanHoof and Pierre de Clercq, Erik Linthorst’s script centers on a trio of protagonists all stuck living with their parents in adulthood. Paraplegic Scotty, whose congenital defect makes him particularly dependent on

SXSW Film Review: ‘Strange Negotiations’

In a era when some mainstream entertainers have transitioned to targeting faith-based audiences, David Bazan is moving in the other direction.

The gifted songwriter’s ersatz band Pedro the Lion was perhaps the most successful Christian indie rock act of its time, and the first to significantly cross over to secular fans. Then he ditched that persona (and lost much of his fanbase), not in an attempt to “sell out,” but rather amid public acknowledgement that he’d suffered a serious loss of religious faith.

Brandon Vedder’s “Strange Negotiations” is a music documentary whose interest goes beyond the usual realms of performance footage and personality, since Bazan is so forthcoming about the “breakup with God” that continues to impact his art, career and life. Particularly with U.S. evangelicals in greater political ascendance than ever before, Bazan’s personal issues lend a larger philosophical depth to this insightful Diy-style portrait.
