Everyone wants to work with Nolan!

There are no details on the film or who he’ll be playing, but it has been described as “a massive, innovative action blockbuster” that will be glorified in IMAX, because Nolan sure does love the IMAX experience.

Nolan recently finished the script for the movie and Warner Bros. quickly dated it for July 18, 2020 — a slot the studio often reserves for the director, most recently with “Dunkirk.”

The gig has become one of the more highly coveted in town, even though most of the industry has been kept in the dark about who has been meeting for the role and what the movie is even about.

Although rumors are swirling that the film is a romantic thriller in the vein of “North by Northwest,” sources have denied those claims, keeping plot details under lock and key. One insider described the pic as a massive, innovative, action blockbuster, which will again be shown in Imax.

Nolan is also producing along with his partner Emma Thomas. Production is set to commence later this year.

James Corden to host 2019 Tony Awards on June 9

James Corden to host 2019 Tony Awards on June 9
Three years after making his Emmy-winning debut as the host of the Tony Awards, James Corden is returning to preside over these top theater honors. The June 9 ceremony from Radio City Music Hall will air live on CBS. These awards celebrate the best of the 2018/2019 theater season. In 2016, Corden rode the “Hamilton” wave to the highest ratings for this awards show in a decade. This season doesn’t boast such a super-sized hit. However, Corden’s fame has grown since then and he could use his late night talker to tout the Tonys telecast.

After his success with the Tonys in 2016, CBS tapped Corden to host the Grammys in 2017 and 2018. That gig is one of of the reasons why he passed on returning to emcee the Tony Awards in those years. As he told us last year,

‘Sunset’ Film Review: ‘Son of Saul’ Director Keeps His Characters, and Audience, Off Balance

‘Sunset’ Film Review: ‘Son of Saul’ Director Keeps His Characters, and Audience, Off Balance
By about an hour into Laszlo Nemes’ period drama “Sunset,” you may have lost count of just how many times the lead character, a young woman in 1910 Budapest, has been told “don’t go there” by a succession of glowering, bearded men, plus the occasional glowering woman.

Irisz, the central character, keeps going where she’s not supposed to — and you could say the same about Nemes, who thrives on creating chaos onscreen and rarely feels compelled in “Sunset” to let the audience get its bearings.

That makes “Sunset” audacious and confounding, a movie that takes on the fall of an empire through the prism of a hat shop and challenges viewers to keep up at every murky turn.

Nemes had one of the most auspicious feature film debuts in recent memory: His first film, “Son of Saul,” was one of the rare debuts to land a spot in the

Willie Geist Juggles Morning Scoops and Sunday Sit-Downs — and Isn’t Letting Up
Willie Geist, one of TV’s early-morning regulars, knew he was in for a dangerously late night.

Though he rises at 4 a.m. on most days, the NBC News and MSNBC anchor has served as master of ceremonies for the annual National Board of Review awards for the past few years. And so there he was, hunkered backstage at New York’s glitzy Cipriani 42nd Street on Jan. 8, socializing with dozens of A-listers who strolled in to hand out trophies.
