The upcoming live-action “Star Wars” streaming series has revealed that the cast now includes Giancarlo Esposito, Emily Swallow, Carl Weathers, Omid Abtahi, and Werner Herzog. They join previously announced cast members Pedro Pascal, Nick Nolte, and Gina Carano. As with all things “Star Wars,” the exact nature of each actor’s role is being kept under wraps, though it has been officially confirmed that Pascal will play the title role in the series.
“The Mandalorian” is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. It follows the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic. It will air on Disney+.

Dancing With the Stars, which has long aired two seasons per calendar year, is skipping a Spring 2019 cycle, TVLine has confirmed.

The 2018 selections bring the total number of films in the registry to 750. Hayden will discuss the 25 new films with Leonard Maltin on Turner Classic Movies at 8 p.m. E.T. Wednesday.

The call for projects is now open to the first Ficg TV Pitchbox, a pitching event focused on Latin American fiction series in development, which will take place on March 13 under the auspices of the Guadalajara Festival.
Seven projects will be selected to participate in the event, which has already confirmed the involvement of HBO Latin America and Turner, two of the biggest pay TV operators and original series producers in the region. Additionally, Mexican company Cinecolor will award one of the projects with $500,000 pesos in post-production services.
