“Trial & Error” is officially done.

The true crime spoof had effectively been canceled last year when NBC did not exercise its option to renew the show for a third season. Studio Warner Bros. TV had been trying to find it a new network home, but that search has come up short.

“Trial and Error” has been canceled after two seasons on NBC, TheWrap has learned.

As TheWrap previously reported, the broadcaster’s option on the true crime spoof lapsed last August and Warner Bros. Television was planning to shop the comedy to other outlets.

Representatives from NBC and Warner Bros. declined TheWrap’s request for comment.

FilmLA reported a near-record year for on-location filming in Los Angeles in 2018, with film, TV drama, and commercial filming all seeing significant year-over-year increases.

On-location filming in Greater Los Angeles rose 5.0 percent in the fourth quarter of 2018 with 10,359 shoot days logged. 38,795 shoot days were logged for all of 2018, a 1.3 percent year-over-year annual rise. “2018 concluded a third consecutive year of record-level film and television production for greater Los Angeles, due in no small part to the California Film & TV Tax Credit program,” said FilmLA President, Paul Audley. “The return of jobs and businesses in the film industry is great news for our region and we look forward to a great 2019.”

The one major downside was decreases in shooting for reality, comedy, and web-based TV, which brought the overall count for television shoot days down 4.9 percent.

Dua Lipa’s New Rules For 2019

Dua Lipa’s New Rules For 2019
What are Dua Lipa’s new rules for 2019? There’s just one: “Working really hard to get my new album out. Those are the only rules that I’m gonna be living by. I’m just going to be in the studio making sure that I come back with some fun stuff for everyone.”

That sounds about right. The London pop phenom blew up with hits like “New Rules” and “Idgaf,” full of disco glitz and tough talk about her post-break-up regimen for taking control and leaving that ex behind.

Migos Sound Rejuvenated on Mustard’s ‘Pure Water’

Migos Sound Rejuvenated on Mustard’s ‘Pure Water’
The back half of Migos’ 2018 was not their most creatively rewarding stretch of their carer. Quavo’s solo project was critically panned, Takeoff’s The Last Rocket fared slightly better and Offset didn’t bother dropping his promised solo effort as he sifted through a messy maybe-divorce. The group passed the then-hypothetical point of oversaturation, and it began to feel like they had little left to say. At least until Mustard delivered “Pure Water” on Wednesday, and immediately proves that the Migos are always welcome when they make something that bangs.
