Mostly in the indie film circuit, so it’s pretty cool to see him land a big movie gig like this! Especially with ever other actor his age who was trying to land this role. Everyone wants to work with Nolan!

There are no details on the film or who he’ll be playing, but it has been described as “a massive, innovative action blockbuster” that will be glorified in IMAX, because Nolan sure does love the IMAX experience.

Writers Guild Makes Concession on Film Financing in Agent Talks

The Writers Guild of America has made a concession in film financing in its negotiations with Hollywood talent agents — the second in six weeks of talks.

WGA West executive director David Young said Wednesday that it had made a “significant move” toward reaching a deal with the Association of Talent Agents for a revamped franchise agreement on how agents represent writers. Young said in letter to Ata executive director Karen Stuart that the two sides will return to the bargaining table for a sixth session on Thursday.

“It is our hope that this significant move on our part will bring the parties closer to an overall agreement and that we can have further discussion of this proposal at our negotiation session tomorrow,” Young said.

The report comes with the WGA and the Association of Talent Agents having made little progress in negotiations to revamp the 43-year-old rules governing how agents represent writers.

‘This Is Us’ Composer Siddhartha Khosla Signs With Ascap

‘This Is Us’ Composer Siddhartha Khosla Signs With Ascap
Siddhartha Khosla, one of the busiest composers in TV with ongoing assignments for “This Is Us,” “The Kids Are Alright” and “Marvel’s Runaways,” has made the move to Ascap, the performing-rights organization announced Wednesday.

For all of his steady television gigs, “This is Us” remains by far the most prominent, partly because he provides prominent acoustic scoring for so many emotional moments— or, as NPR put it, “Siddhartha Khosla has tiptoed into the tear ducts of millions of Americans.”

But “This is Us” also stands out because Khosla is able to exercise his songwriting chops there, too, in addition to scoring.

Why Bruce Lee’s ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’ Costume Is an Intriguing Surprise

Why Bruce Lee’s ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’ Costume Is an Intriguing Surprise
The press materials that accompanied the new trailer for Quentin Tarantino’s “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” say the film “visits 1969 Los Angeles, where everything is changing.” But a delightful scene in the trailer, featuring Mike Moh as Bruce Lee, seems to take place in 1967.

Or 1966. Let me explain.

In the late 1960s, Lee kicked around Hollywood serving as a martial-arts “sifu,” or master, to actors like Steve McQueen. He also choreographed fight scenes and played sidekick roles, even though he could out-kick, out-punch, and usually out-joke the leading man.

His first big sidekick role was as Kato on “The Green Hornet,” which aired on ABC from 1966 to 1967. On the show, Lee’s Kato wore a traditional chauffeur’s uniform of black gloves and a collared, double-breasted black tunic.

Florida Makes It Legal to Smoke Medical Marijuana

Way back when in 2016, the majority of Florida voters (more than 70 percent) said yes to a constitutional amendment that would make medical marijuana legal. But when then-Gov. Rick Scott — he of brutal dictatorial regime-supporting fame — signed it into law in 2017, he curbed the forms of cannabis that would be available: Concentrates such capsules, topicals, tinctures and vapes were fine, as were flower sealed into pods for vaping, but according to the law, smokable pot would not be available in the state.

More than two years later, Floridians have gotten their way: Gov.

Why Bruce Lee Is All Over the Teaser for Tarantino’s ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’

Why Bruce Lee Is All Over the Teaser for Tarantino’s ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’
Perhaps the greatest delight of the new teaser for Quentin Tarantino’s ninth film, “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood,” is the unexpected prominence of Bruce Lee. Lee, played by Mike Moh, demonstrates his kung-fu mastery with stuntman Cliff Booth, played by Brad Pitt.

He’s onscreen for about 15 seconds of the one-minute-forty-five-second trailer, but they’re electrifying. Why is Lee there? Partly, of course, because Tarantino adores him. But this isn’t a case of a director shoehorning someone into a story. Lee played a small but significant — and very bizarre — part in the story of the Manson killings.

There’s no telling how much of that story will be in Tarantino’s film. And if you don’t want to know the details, we’d recommend you stop reading now.

Because once upon a time in Hollywood, believe it or not, a young director named Roman Polanski briefly
