Tucker Carlson Mocks Elizabeth Warren’s Native American Claims: ‘Fauxcohontas Is on the Warpath’

Tucker Carlson Mocks Elizabeth Warren’s Native American Claims: ‘Fauxcohontas Is on the Warpath’
Tucker Carlson could barely contain himself Monday evening after Elizabeth Warren released “proof” of her Native American ancestry. Carlson — like many conservatives — said the DNA report showing Warren could be something in the neighborhood of 1/1000th Native American was comically insufficient.

The puns came hot an heavy.

“Fauxcohontas is on the warpath,” Carlson said with a smirk. “Well, as it turned out, old Lie-watha couldn’t come up with a single, not one American Indian in her family tree, the rest of the country laughed at her, and rightly so.”

There was also “Fake-ajawea, “Fraud-azuma” and the “Me Sioux movement.”

Eminem Teaches Kimmel’s Guillermo All About the Empire State Building Mid-‘Venom’ Performance (Video)
Eminem performed the title track to Marvel movie “Venom” from high atop the Empire State Building on Monday, and it all had something to do with a smartphone. Mid-music video, the “Kamikaze” rapper ran into “Jimmy Kimmel Live” security guard Guillermo in the big building’s elevator, when Slim Shady dropped some solid knowledge about the New York City landmark’s architecture.

“If you get a chance, you should check out the exhibit on the 80th floor,” Eminem tells Jimmy Kimmel’s buddy over some “Venom” muzak. “This building was designed by a guy named William Lamb, and it only took him like 410 days to build it. That’s crazy, right?”

“Wow,” Guillermo responds, clearly impressed.

How Midterms Went Mainstream on TV News

Marc Burstein has been covering elections since 1998. Now the ABC News executive is gearing up for what he believes will be an event of seismic proportions.

The 2018 midterm elections on Nov. 6 were always going to be contentious, says Burstein, ABC News senior executive producer of special events, but in the wake of the confirmation of Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court, Republican and Democratic voters are energized in ways that no one had previously anticipated.

“I think this is absolutely the biggest midterm election in my time — and maybe a generation,” says Burstein. “We are treating this as if it were a presidential election.

James Corden Eats a Tarantula to Avoid Naming Least Favorite ‘Late Late Show’ Guest (Video)
Jon Hamm made his “Late Late Show” debut on Monday night, when James Corden sat his guest right down at the “Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts” table. It’s not nearly as comfy as the CBS show’s couch.

Early on in the recurring gross-out game, in which a player must answer a highly personal question that is usually either embarrassing or chock-full of consequences to avoid eating or drinking something atrocious, Hamm choked down a chili cheese-dog smoothie to avoid ranking “Batman” actors from best to worst.

Corden creeped out the entire audience by eating a tarantula and keeping secret his least favorite “Late Late Show” guest, though he let it slip that it’s a dude. You get how this game goes.

A+E’s ‘Project Blue Book’ Thinks the Truth Is Still Out There

A+E’s ‘Project Blue Book’ Thinks the Truth Is Still Out There
It started with a long-ago conversation with astronomer Carl Sagan, which awoke an abiding interest in UFOs and the possibility of extraterrestrial life in Robert Zemeckis. That led in part to 1997’s “Contact,” which Zemeckis helmed, and, now, “Project Blue Book,” which he’s executive producing for A+E Studios.

The show bears more than a passing resemblance to “The X-Files,” from the tagline to the menacing presence of a shadowy figure in a hat and coat. Based on a real-life government operation called Project Blue Book, the series centers on the investigation by the U.S. Air Force into UFO sightings in the 1950s and ’60s.

How Americans Became Addicted to Cable News in the Trump Era (Column)

How Americans Became Addicted to Cable News in the Trump Era (Column)
It took a made-for-reality-tv president to get Americans addicted to television news again.

Over the year-plus of the Trump presidency, cable news has supplanted prestige dramas as the talk of the virtual water cooler, no matter your political allegiance. From the provocative media tours of James Comey and Stormy Daniels to the incendiary Senate hearings into the conduct of Judge Brett Kavanaugh, staying tuned from Rachel Maddow into Lawrence O’Donnell — or from Sean Hannity into Laura Ingraham — has replaced bingeing just one more episode of “Stranger Things” before bed.

After all, this is a presidency unlike any since Richard Nixon’s,
