13 Movies That Had Absolutely Awful CGI (Photos)

The key to successfully using CGI is to at least semi-convincingly integrate it with everything else, a task that many, many movies have failed to do over the last few decades. So let’s take a look at some of the worst offenders.

Justice League” (2017) — We probably all know the story by now. Henry Cavill had to pop in for reshoots while “Mission: Impossible – Fallout” was still in production and had to wear a mustache as Superman. Warner Bros tried to CGI out the mustache, but it was not at all convincing and ended up honestly being really hilarious.

Avengers: Age of Ultron” (2015) — For the most part, the CGI in this “Avengers” sequel was as good as it needed to be. And then Iron Man would pop into a scene looking like a test render from the original 2008 “Iron Man” flick.

Fantastic Four” (2015) — The behind-the-scenes drama on this flick involved,

Jerry Springer already has his next gig lined up, following the June announcement that NBCUniversal is longer making new episodes of his long-running talk show: a syndicated daytime courtroom show from the studio that brought you the “Jerry Springer Show,” aptly titled “Judge Jerry.”

An individual with knowledge of the project tells TheWrap the series is still in development, though NBCUniversal is eyeing a Fall 2019 premiere, which would line up with the airing of the final season of Springer’s daytime program. Because the program is still in the works, there is no final word on where the syndication rights for the series will land.

The series would feature former attorney Springer wearing a judge’s robe and seated behind a desk. So, you know, like every other courtroom show out there, but

Ratings: ‘DC’s Legends of Tomorrow’ Season 4 Premiere Is Decidedly Un-Legendary
ABC slipped week over week into a last place ratings tie among the Big 4 broadcast networks on Monday, though it wasn’t the saddest story in primetime. That unfortunate distinction belongs to CW series “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow,” which premiered its fourth season as the lowest-rated and least-watched show — including the Spanish-language networks.

Much higher up the Nielsen sheets, NBC won another Monday night with “The Voice” and “Manifest.” Thanks mostly to “9-1-1” and no 10 o’clock hour of programming, Fox finished second among adults 18-49.

NBC was first in ratings with a 1.7 rating/7 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and in total viewers with an average of 8.6 million, according to preliminary numbers.

Fox was second in ratings with a 1.1/4, but fourth in viewers with 5.2 million.

ABC and CBS tied for third in ratings,

If You Hate-Follow Dennis Miller on Twitter, You’ll Hate-Love His New Stand-Up Special

Dennis Miller hopes you watch his new stand-up special. But if his Twitter feed is any indication, he knows a good number will do so just because of how much they hate him.

“It is odd, this function of social media that you learn that some people hate-follow you in an odd way. So some people might watch from that perspective,” Miller told TheWrap. “I can’t govern it once I’ve written it and said it. But I do know that if I put a tweet out, it seems like the first five people — you can see a couple of the comments under the tweet right away — are someone who hates your guts, like there’s a fire station and they’re right next to the pole waiting to get their boots on.”

Miller, the conservative comedian and former host of “Weekend Update,” of course gives those on the

Stacey Snider on Life After Fox: ‘My Job For the Last Year Has Been Chairman of Human Emotions’

Stacey Snider on Life After Fox: ‘My Job For the Last Year Has Been Chairman of Human Emotions’
It’s been a grueling 11 months for Stacey Snider.

The 20th Century Fox Film chairman and CEO was just putting her imprint on the studio when Rupert Murdoch decided to sell the bulk of his media empire to Disney. That’s left Snider with the unenviable task of having to keep Fox running smoothly even as her employees brace for layoffs that could result in thousands of lost jobs.

Worse yet, Snider will be among those getting pink-slipped. Although several of her top lieutenants, including vice chairman Emma Watts, Fox 2000 chief Elizabeth Gabler and Fox Searchlight co-heads Steve Gilula and Nancy Utley, have gotten new jobs at Disney, Snider will not make the move. During a recent talk at her sleekly modern Beverly Hills home, she is clearly stung by being passed over by Disney. However, she’s focused on finding new opportunities to keep making movies, television shows and other forms of content.
