‘Manifest’ Gets Order For Three Additional Episodes From NBC
NBC has picked up three episodes of breakout new drama Manifest, bringing the total freshman episode count to 16.

The size of the order, which is below full-season 22 episodes, is not surprising. Shorter-run seasons — between 13 and 18 episodes — have become the norm for heavily serialized broadcast dramas, including NBC’s This Is Us, Fox’s Empire and ABC’s How To Get Away with Murder.

So far this fall “Manifest” has averaged a 3.9 rating in adults 18-49 and 17.2 million viewers in L+7, making it television’s #1 new series in both measures. Counting all entertainment programs on broadcast and cable, “Manifest” ranks #4 in L+7 adult 18-49 averages behind only “This Is Us,” “The Walking Dead” and “The Big Bang Theory” and #2 in total viewers behind only “Big Bang.” Adding in alternate platform viewing raises the “Manifest” L+7 18-49 rating to a 5.1.

“Manifest” stars Melissa Roxburgh, Josh Dallas, Athena Karkanis, J.R. Ramirez, Luna Blaise,

Maisie Williams Filmed Her Final ‘Game of Thrones’ Scene Solo: ‘Arya’s Always Bloody Alone’
Maisie Williams is done playing the girl with no name, having wrapped her role as the “Game of Thrones” vicious teen assassin, Arya Stark, back in July. Though she teased her final bow with a picture when she was done, Williams has now given some solid hints about how her face-shifting character might go out when the show’s eighth and final season airs next year — and it’s pretty sweet, if not lonely.

Williams told The Guardian in an interview published Wednesday that her last “Game of Thrones” shoot was “beautiful,” and she “ended on the perfect scene.” However, spoiler alert, the actress said it was nothing out of the ordinary in terms of who she was acting with — which was nobody.

“I was alone – shocker!” Williams said. “Arya’s always bloody alone. But I was alone and I had watched a lot of other people wrap. I knew the drill,

Julia Holter Is Warping Through Time

Julia Holter Is Warping Through Time
“Turn the Light On,” the first song on Julia Holter’s fifth album, begins in tumult. It crashes in: bows skidding across the strings of violins, drums tumbling as if down a craggy mountain, horns searing the scene like an irradiated sunset. Above all that, Holter sings, her voice high and insistent, straining to be heard over the wreckage. It’s the good kind of apocalypse, this song, the one where systems die but people live. The banks come crashing down, the drones fall out of the sky, and everyone builds homes from the rubble.

The Baltimore Pd Is Not Happy With This ‘SNL’ Sketch: ‘Not Humor at All’ (Video)
The Baltimore City Fraternal Order of Police was not laughing at Saturday’s “SNL” — or at least, not at its “Traffic Stop” sketch, which featured Leslie Jones, Ego Nwodim and Kate McKinnon as some thirsty Charm City cops. In the skit, the ladies pulled over a tipsy Seth Meyers and proceeded to flirt with him instead of administering a field sobriety test.

In an open letter to “Saturday Night Live” creator Lorne Michaels, Lt. Gene S. Ryan called it a “distorted representation” of what his officers do when they pull over a drunk driver. Or ever, really.

“We must take issue with the grossly inapt portrayal of our members during this particular sketch,” he wrote. “As you are most likely aware, the Baltimore Police Department is currently a very beleaguered agency in the throes of massive criticism and disrespect. Many of our members, especially our younger ones, are struggling with
