‘Suspiria’ Remake Gets R Rating for ‘Ritualistic Violence, Bloody Images and Graphic Nudity’
Luca Guadagnino’s “Suspiria” remake managed to land a (very hard) R rating by the MPAA for “disturbing content involving ritualistic violence, bloody images and graphic nudity, and for some language including sexual references.”

An ultra-violent clip of the film shown at CinemaCon in April disturbed many who saw it.

“Ummm I am traumatized after seeing a scene from ‘Suspiria’ in which Dakota Johnson controls the body of another woman as she dances,” Los Angeles Times’ Amy Kaufman had tweeted. “The woman’s body literally cracks in half. She is like, torn apart. Spitting, urinating, bleeding. It’s… A lot.”

Slashfilm’s Peter Sciretta wrote, “First clip from ‘Suspiria’ invokes a dancer being thrown around like a rag doll telekinetically in a mirrored rehearsal space, bones breaking, becoming a contorted mess. Very gruesome and hard to watch. This film will make most people feel uneasy.”

MTV Awards: Michael B Jordan’s ‘Shocked’ He Won Best Villain With Roseanne Barr Out There (Video)
Michael B. Jordan knows you love “Black Panther”s super cool baddie Eric Killmonger. He also figured enough people love to hate Roseanne Barr so much that his Marvel character didn’t stand a chance at grabbing the Best Villain statue at this year’s MTV Movie & TV Awards. Luckily, the axed ABC star wasn’t nominated, since the performance that has gained her the most notoriety happened off-screen.

“I’m shocked that I won this award for Best Villain,” Jordan joked when stepping up to the mic to accept the award during the pre-taped show, which was broadcast Monday night. “I thought for sure Roseanne had that in the bag.” The laughter in response to that remark could have earned Jordan the Best Hero statue too — if it hadn’t gone to his co-star Chadwick Boseman for the titular role in “Black Panther.”

Barr’s ABC sitcom was abruptly
