Liza Minnelli is bringing her life story to both the page and, potentially, the TV screen.
Magnolia Hill Productions (Dolly Parton’s Heartstrings) has optioned a forthcoming memoir from the iconic entertainer for a television adaptation through Warner Bros. TV. The memoir, to be published by Grand Central Publishing in 2026, stems from 15 years of recorded conversations between Minnelli and her friend and long-time creative partner Michael Feinstein. Journalists and authors Josh Getlin and Heidi Evans are also collaborating on the book.
Magnolia Hill founder Sam Haskell — who was once Minnelli’s agent at William Morris — will shepherd the TV adaptation through development.
