One Piece Anime Breaks Guinness World Record For Most DVDs Released
One Piece franchise has once again set a new Guinness World Record, this time for the most DVDs released by a serial anime TV program.
The announcement was made during the second day of the One Piece Day ’24 event on Aug 11, 2024.
During a live recording of Nippon Broadcasting System’s radio program Mugiwara Space, which airs every Sunday at 1:00 Am (Jst), the voice cast of One Piece made an appearance.
At the event, it was revealed that the One Piece anime, with its 300th DVD release, had officially earned the Guinness World Record title for the most DVDs released by a serial anime TV program.
The 300th DVD set, containing episodes 1086-1088 of the anime, was released on July 3, 2024.
Mayumi Tanaka, the voice actress for the main character Luffy, received the certificate on behalf of the cast, followed by a commemorative photo to mark the occasion.
