Jon Snow Fans Must Wait For His Game of Thrones Spinoff
While HBO is developing a Game of Thrones sequel series focusing on Kit Harington's Jon Snow, the project is still in its very early stages.
Francesca Orsi, head of drama at HBO, discussed the network's growing franchise based on George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series in an interview with Deadline. Orsi provided an update on the planned Jon Snow spinoff, which was announced back in June 2022 with Harington attached as a star and executive producer. The show is still in the works, according to Orsi, but it's still too early to determine whether the project will end up moving forward. "We’re just working deeply with the writers to get it in shape for potential greenlight, but at this point, no, no determination on whether it can go all the way," Orsi said.
