Fans of comic books have been blessed with a rejuvenation in the genre as it's being adapted in blockbuster Hollywood films. Since the 2000s, arguably beginning with Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy, amplified by Christopher Nolan's Batman films and the official start of the Marvel Cinematic Universe with Iron Man, society entered a comic book/superhero renaissance across the board in several mediums.
