Disney postpones ‘Black Widow’ release amid coronavirus concerns
Tenpoles on hold as theatres close

Disney has postponed indefinitely the upcoming release of Black Widow as Us theatres close down amid the coronavirus pandemic as it pushes back its entire May slate.

Black Widow had been scheduled to open on May 1 and stars Scarlett Johansson in the Avengers character’s first solo spin-off.

The studio has also put on hold releases of Searchlight Pictures’ The Personal History Of David Copperfield (May 8) and 20th Century Studios’ The Woman In The Window (May 15) “to future potential dates to be determined”.

Disney did not mention its summer releases after May 15. They include:
