Channing Tatum Will Make His Directorial Debut with the Comedy Dog
Channing Tatum is going to step behind the camera for his latest project. The Magic Mike star has locked down a deal to star in and co-direct Dog, a road trip comedy that will see Tatum's producing partner Reid Carolin co-directing with alongside him. This will mark Tatum's directorial debut and will reunite him with several people who have been behind some of his most successful cinematic endeavors.

According to several reports, Film Nation and CAA are launching sales of Dog at the American Film Market, which kicks off this week in Santa Monica, California. The project is said to be coming together rather quickly behind the scenes. In addition to directing duties, Channing Tatum and Reid Carolin are penning the screenplay with Brett Rodriguez. Tatum and Carolin are set to produce via Free Association, alongside Peter Kiernan and Gregory Jacobs. Carolin previously wrote Magic Mike and produced the hit with Tatum.
