Michelle Williams has confirmed she will be returning to her role as Anne Weying in the Andy Serkis directed ‘Venom’ sequel.

The news comes hot on the heels of the announcement that Serkis has taken over the helm from Ruben Fleischer, beating other contenders ‘Bumblebee’ helmer Travis Knight and ‘Rise of the Planet of the Apes’ director Rupert Wyatt.

Serkis has also revealed to Slashfilm that Tom Hardy is not only the face of ‘Venom’ but also has a hand in other areas of the production such as lending a hand in writing the story.

“Tom is very involved with the writing with Kelly Marcel of the new story, so it’s very much centred around their take.”
