Cinemax Renews The Bruce Lee-Inspired Series Warrior For Season 2

The first season of the Bruce Lee-inspired martial arts series Warrior is only three episodes in, but Cinemax has officially renewed it for a second season, which I couldn’t be more happy and excited about!

The series was created by Banshee co-creator Jonathan Tropper and produced by Justin Lin. The show is based on the concepts and writings of the legendary Bruce Lee.

Warrior is a gritty, action-packed crime drama set during the brutal Tong Wars of San Francisco’s Chinatown in the second half of the 19th century. The series follows Ah Sahm, a martial arts prodigy who immigrates from China to San Francisco under mysterious circumstances, and becomes a hatchet man for one of Chinatown’s most powerful tongs (Chinese organized crime family).

If you haven’t started watching this series yet, it’s definitely a must and worth your time. Len Amato, president, HBO Films, Miniseries
