Kathleen Kennedy says Lucasfilm planning “the next ten years or more” of Star Wars

Disney CEO Bob Iger may have revealed that Star Wars will be taking a hiatus from the big screen following the release of this December’s Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, but that doesn’t mean that Lucasfilm is slowing down behind the scenes.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter after Star Wars Celebration, Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy has revealed that she’ll be meeting with the likes of Rian Johnson and Game of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss in May as they plot out “the next ten years or more” of Star Wars.

“We knew we were going to close [the Skywalker Saga] up; we knew that even before we started The Force Awakens,” said Kennedy. “We are looking at the next saga.
