Netflix announced on Friday that it has acquired the rights to Israeli filmmaker Gideon Raff’s “The Red Sea Diving Resort” starring Chris Evans.

The film was written and directed by Raff, known for his creation of the Channel 2 thriller drama series “Prisoners of War,” which was adapted in the U.S. into the Emmy-winning Showtime series “Homeland.”

Raff’s “The Red Sea Diving Resort” is inspired by one of the most remarkable true life rescue missions ever. The film tells the story of a group of Mossad agents and brave Ethiopians who, in the early ’80s, used a deserted holiday retreat in Sudan as a front to smuggle thousands of refugees to Israel.
