When Warner Bros. began "courting" Gunn after he was fired from Guardians of the Galaxy 3 over a series of unfortunate tweets posted over a decade ago, the studio apparently offered him several DC characters to work on, including Superman. However, after researching the comics, Gunn decided that the Man of Steel just wasn't for him.
The former Disney golden boy, who started off at Troma Entertainment before penning Scooby-Doo in 2002, is now handling writing and directing duties on The Suicide Squad,
