Jamie Lee Curtis Set For Lifetime Achievement Honor At 56th Publicists Awards
Jamie Lee Curtis will receive the Cinematographers Guild’s Lifetime Achievement Award at its 56th annual Publicists Awards luncheon on February 22 at the Beverly Hilton.

“We are thrilled to honor Jamie Lee Curtis, who has created a celebrated body of film and television work that spans many genres,” said Steven Poster, president of the Cinematographers Guild. “Who wasn’t frightened by her Laurie Strode character in Halloween – and just as terrified in her reprise portrayal 40 years later? Her artistic talents have generated a legacy of characters that are embedded in our minds forever. We are honored to spotlight her varied and award-winning career.”

The awards luncheons previously were presented by the Publicists Guild, which in 2002 merged into the Cinematographers Guild, Iatse Local 600.

Curtis’ many film roles include True Lies, for which she won a Golden Globe; Trading Places, which earned her a BAFTA for Best Supporting Actress; A Fish Called Wanda and Freaky Friday.
