The Child's Play horror franchise has had a long and successful run. The fact that they keep making these films means that the franchise has been pulling in some good money. Now it seems that the creative talent of the series is looking to keep the franchise running as a TV series.
During an interview with Bloody Disgusting, Don Mancini, who has written every film in the franchise and has directed the past three films, reveals that he is now developing the series. He said:
"We plan to use Child’s Play in the title. We want to definitely signal that we are going dark, darker than ever before. It’s going to be very creepy."
Mancini goes on to say that the series was "deliberately set up at end of" the last movie, Cult of Chuck and then made sure to add that the "tone is dark and disturbing.
