In advance of unveiling its fall schedule at the upfronts in May, CBS Entertainment on Friday announced renewals for eleven more primetime series — a list that includes all the usual suspects among ongoing shows except “Criminal Minds.” Decisions on first-year series will be announced in the coming weeks.
The series announced to return are “Blue Bloods,” “Elementary,” “Hawaii Five-0,” “Madam Secretary,” “Mom,” “NCIS: Los Angeles,” “NCIS: New Orleans,” “Scorpion,” “2 Broke Girls,” “Survivor” and “The Amazing Race.”
They join the previously renewed “The Big Bang Theory” and “NCIS,” the network’s top-rated programs. Also as previously announced, “Mike & Molly,” “Person of Interest” and “The Good Wife” are ending after their current seasons wrap this spring.
None of the renewals is a real surprise, as each of the shows has played a role in the current success of CBS, which stands as primetime’s top-rated network in adults 18-49, 25-54 and total viewers.
