“Colony” has been renewed for a second season at USA Network, Variety has learned.
The renewal news comes after just three episodes have aired and on the day of the fourth episode of the 10-episode first season, which is on tonight at 10 p.m.
Starring “Lost” favorite Josh Holloway and Sarah Wayne Callies (The Walking Dead,” “Prison Break”), “Colony” centers on one family’s struggle to survive and bring liberty back to the people of an occupied Los Angeles.
The drama from Legendary Television and Universal Cable Productions comes from mega-showrunner Carlton Cuse (“Lost,” “The Strain,” “Bates Motel”) and Ryan Condal.
“Carlton and Ryan have successfully delivered a story that tests the strengths and weaknesses of a society in duress, and the bonds of a family divided,” said Chris McCumber, president of USA Network. “‘Colony’s’ performance across all platforms has been impressive, and we can’t wait to see where the story takes us.
