Neil Patrick Harris is reportedly in talks to star in Netflix’s adaptation of Lemony Snicket’s “A Series of Unfortunate Events.”

The “How I Met Your Mother” alum would play the evil uncle Count Olaf. The Lemony Snicket tale follows three orphans, Violet, Klaus and Sunny Baudelaire, who face trials and tribulations at the hands of the Count Olaf, as they seek to discover the secret of their parents’ death. In the 2004 Paramount film, which starred Meryl Streep, Jim Carrey played the role of the uncle, which would be played by Harris.
