Last year fans of George R.R. Martin’s novels hoped the flashback to young Cersei heralded the beginning of some much needed backstory. But with only 10 episodes per season and a metric ton of intrigue and reveals to get through, explaining how Westeros got into this mess in the first place went on the back burner. Until now. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, actor Isaac Hempstead-Wright talked about his character’s return to “Game of Thrones” next season. Bran Stark hasn’t just been twiddling his thumbs while the world went to hell. Previously Bran’s seen tiny glimpses of future or past but never has he been very much in control in the situation. Now we’re given looks into very important events in the past, present and future of this world and Bran is beginning to piece them together like a detective, almost as if he’s watching the show.
