Golden Globes 2015: Who Will and Should Earn TV Nominations
The Emmys may have been able to ignore the ratings behemoth that is "Empire," but the Golden Globes can't do it. The Hollywood Foreign Press' love for new hit shows is well known, which brings us to last year's winner, "The Affair." The last winner to repeat with a nod won again -- "Homeland," in 2013 -- but then failed to gain a nomination the following year. Others like "Mad Men" and "Boardwalk Empire" were able to stay in the race after winning, but a lot of the luster has worn off Showtime's drama, and the HFPA may prefer more fresh faces. "Better Call Saul" and "Mr. Robot" are strong contenders here, with "Narcos" and "UnREAL" fighting for a spot, too. As for the veterans, "House of Cards" has been nominated for both of its seasons so far, "Downton Abbey" is riding a three-year hot streak and "Game of Thrones
