An earlier premiere date for new Jane Lynch comedy “Angel From Hell,” the debut of “Criminal Minds” spinoff “Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders” and the returns of “Undercover Boss” and “Mike & Molly” are among the highlights of the CBS midseason schedule, announced Monday by the network.
“Undercover Boss” is coming off the bench for a December premiere for the second straight year, airing three special Sunday episodes (Dec. 20, 27, and Jan. 3 at 8 p.m.) before sliding into its regular Friday 8 p.m. timeslot on Jan. 8. On Fridays, it will be serving as a bridge between seasons of “The Amazing Race,” which kicks off its 28th edition on Feb. 12.
The network is making some moves in comedy, starting Wednesday, Jan. 6 when “2 Broke Girls” and “Mike & Molly” take over the 8 o’clock hour for six weeks while “Survivor” (back Feb. 17) is on hiatus. This will be the first action of the season for “Mike & Molly,
