Philip Pullman’s “His Dark Materials” is getting another adaptation after a less than successful attempt at a blockbuster, in the 2006 film starring Daniel Craig and Nicole Kidman. New Line Cinema and Bad Wolf will produce the series for the UK’s BBC One network. “I’m delighted with the BBC announcement this morning,” the books’ author Philip Pullman tweeted on Tuesday. “And now the work begins!” The new series was commissioned by Charlotte Moore, controller of BBC One, and Polly Hill, controller of BBC Drama Commissioning.
