Angel Parker has been cast in FX’s “American Crime Story: The People vs. Oj Simpson” to portray attorney Shawn Chapman, who worked on Simpson’s legal “Dream Team,” Variety has learned exclusively.
Parker, who most recently was on Disney Xd’s “Lab Rats,” will appear in nine of the ten episodes in the hotly anticipated Ryan Murphy series, which premieres next year. Her other credits include “ER,” “Castle,” “Soul Man” on TV Land and NBC’s “Sean Saves the World.”
Parker joins an A-list cast, which includes Cuba Gooding Jr. as Simpson, John Travolta as Robert Shapiro, David Schwimmer as Robert Kardashian, Sarah Paulson as Marcia Clark, and Courtney B. Vance as Johnnie Cochran, who hired Chapman to work on Simpson’s defense in the mid-’90s criminal trial.
