Looking at the aftermath of superhero destruction, Marvel’s next TV show could be the construction comedy Damage Control…
Following similar reports from the DC camp, it looks like Marvel Studios are considering a comedy TV series.
The Hollywood Reporter broke the story, reporting that Marvel Television have ordered a 30-minute pilot for a TV show called Damage Control, all about the people who have to clean up after superheroes.
This idea comes straight from the comics. Created by Dwayne McDuffie and Ernie Colón, the Damage Control comics made their debut in 1988, focusing on a group of construction workers. Since then, we’ve had four Damage Control comic book miniseries, often tied into a big crossover event.
Writer Ben Karlin - of The Daily Show, The Colbert Report and Modern Family – is developing the series for ABC, the home of Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. and its still-under-consideration spin-off, Marvel’s Most Wanted.
